Cornerstone Christian Academy in Alberta, Canada, is being told to stop teaching scriptures that may be considered "offensive."
Battle River School Division (BRSD) chair, Lauri Skori, told Cornerstone's chair, Deanna Margel, that "any scripture that could be considered offensive to particular individuals should not be read or studied in school."
Skori said it would be inappropriate for the school to share "any teachings that denigrate or vilify someone's sexual orientation."

Have they demanded that the Muslims stop teaching koran verses saying essentially the same things?
Didn’t think so.
Of course not. Canadian leaders are effectively quislings endangering our northern border. And sadly, I no longer consider it a friendly neighbor.
How about The Sakinah Circle School in Edmonton? A madrasah operated with the government blessing within the public education system. Muslim prayers during school hours and the whole curriculum represents the “Qur’anic worldview?

Time for Canadian Christians to go underground and meet in secret.
At least that way the Word of God won't be diluted or distorted in any way.
Still, Christians are called to be salt and light. How can that be possible in an apostate country? Maybe the underground church is the only real answer.
Or, get out of any arrangements that make them subject to government. The problem might be partly that they would lose subsidies and a large part of a student body if they went total private.
If it were a situation like that I’d say yes, make it gospel first. And if the bible says living as a homosexual is bad juju, then so be it, God really does know but we won’t hush about that when God wants us to say it.
There’s pearls and then there’s pigs. If the pigs make it impossible to pass out the pearls, you go where there aren’t any more pigs.

Actually, it's not the Bible itself that offends. It is the message within it: that Man is imperfect and in rebellion from God. In some way or another, it offends EVERYONE.
How we respond to that offense is what matters most. Some respond with contrition and humbleness. Others harden their hearts and resolve to live their lives apart from God. They want nothing to do with the sovereign authority of all the universe.
Why they are not content to keep their rebellion to themselves instead of imposing it on everyone else, defies reason. Maybe they're insecure in their beliefs.
That's absolutely right, the very core of the matter.

The church can be very frank to people that if they just want to be okay with the world, then they can pretty well ignore much or most of the bible.
But if they are willing to believe there is a God and want to be okay with him, then the bible bears heeding for its illustrational and propositional truths.
There might be room yet for wise relationships with Canada. Like Jesus said to the pagan rulers, his kingdom is a different kingdom from theirs. We’re here teaching Christians who have agreed they want to be Christians what the ancient documents say that Christianity means, and if you don’t like it you can just pound sand, Ontario.
This basically moves the question onto the stage of private relationships. Hey this school is about a private relationship with God. It isn’t about what Canada says is right. We’ll gladly tell them what Canada says is right and what God says is right, then the choice is theirs.
It’d be worth a try, at least. IMHO.

Not only can you teach islamic scriptures that command killing non-muslims, you can be imprisoned for mentioning an opinion against them.
So again Christians much choose. Be faithful to the laws of God, or faithful to the laws of men. Our time of ease in the West is coming to an end and soon we will all have to choose where to make a stand.
Judge and Jury on God’s Word... not too smart.
