Sex-change surgeries cost an average $132,000 each!
Taxpayer-funded sex-change surgeries would cost the Pentagon $1.3 billion over 10 years.
President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that transgender individuals will not be eligible to serve in the military, with the White House citing cost and military readiness concerns.
Internal data provided to the Washington Free Beacon from Rep. Vicky Hartzler (R., Mo.), a leading opponent of taxpayer-funded sex changes, show that even by using a conservative estimate, the costs associated with 0.7 percent of the military population is great.
Hartzler's office provided a detailed calculation that shows estimates of the current number of transgender service members, and the number likely to seek a taxpayer-funded gender transition.
"The 10-year cost estimate is for surgery only and is adjusted for 3 percent inflation; it accounts for Active Duty, Guard, and Reserve members currently serving as well as new recruits over the same time period," the document states. "It uses the FY 18 DoD number for total number of military members and multiplies it by the percentage of military personnel assumed to be transgender as reported by the UCLA Williams Institute and the National Center for Transgender Equality."

The proper follow-up now is to sack every single general officer that signed off on this plan or made any ridiculous recommendations in support of it.
The taxpayers should not be forced to subsidize the sexual fantasies of these freaks. This is a disgrace.
Exactly. What Obama created was a way for people who feel they are trapped in the wrong gender to join the military and get a free change and upgrade at taxpayer cost. Something most of the mindless morons upset don’t even think about.
Add to that by going thorough all the surgeries medications, etc., just exactly when would any of these people be on active duty? Not to mention the cost of training only to find they need to change and then they are out on medical leave for months or even years.
It’s a free ride sex change at tax payer expense that never ends, it is a lifetime deal.

The numbers would likely be WORSE than that without Trump’s policy change, because no one really knows how many new recruits would be attracted by free surgery etc. I’m not imagining that very many young people tempted by the “transgender” b.s. are naturally inclined toward military service, but many might be lured by the incentive of having all surgery and hormone treatments, etc. paid for. An 18 or 20 yr old who has no ready way to pay for the “transgender” madness could see the Obama military as the transgender Sugar Daddy.
Just another reason to suspect the Obama policy will be costly, and it’s good that President Trump is changing course.
I think those pics of the soldiers in uniform are from some gay parade that the military under the arse allowed, when they previously hadn’t....
Why should the tax payers foot the bill for this crap? Pay for your own whack jobs, noodle heads.
They would have the surgery at the expense of taxpayers and then find some reason or some way to get out.
Same as the ones who commit crimes so they can go to jail or prison and get the sex change surgeries.
But - the moment they start any medical treatment, be it for anxiety, suicidal thoughts, etc, out. If they start hormone replacement therapy, out. Not eligible, in the first place.
If you are a diabetic, you are disqualified from joining. If you have gastric reflux disease, you are disqualified. If you have asthma requiring and inhaled, you are disqualified. If your testicle hasn't descended, disqualified. Anything that keeps you from deploying, disqualified. Don't mention pregnancy, because the services see that as temporary.
A male transitioning to female, or female to male, cheats the real females. A male transitioning to female, cheats the service, who hired a man, not a person needing maintenance for the rest of their lives.
Transgender surgery is covered by Obamacare.

One of the factors which few consider about all of this is that when you sign up and agree to the free surgery routine for one group...there will active duty women and dependent wives who will knock on the door and demand free boob-jobs and plastic surgery. Even the teenage dependents of active duty personnel....could request the transgender surgery or the boob-jobs. So this was a lot more than $1.3 billion.
I’ve been researching and reading all the reasons the military bars people from enlisting. Ironically, abnormal genitalia is a bar to enlistment. So if you are in an accident when you are eight that results in losing a testicle, you can’t join. But, if you are eighteen and want gender reassignment... well, now you can’t join either!
I’ve been trying to find out if the military also provides gender reassignment for family members. I haven’t found out either way. I can easily imagine a scenario where a transsexual couple both get their surgeries from the military with only one of them actually serving.
Not the whole plan. Open, in-your-face sodomites are still ensconced in the military. That was a necessary precusor to this current deadly insanity. As long as that policy is in place, the armed forces are ripe for any deviant group to invade.
