The Google employee behind a ten-page viewpoint diversity manifesto that went viral online has been fired.
James Damore, whose manifesto criticizing the politically correct corporate culture at Google prompted outrage from left-wing employees and social justice warriors online, revealed that he had been fired in an email to Breitbart Tech on Monday evening.
In his email to Breitbart Tech, Damore claimed, They just fired me for perpetuating gender stereotypes.'
Damores writing has revealed a divided Google, in which some employees agree with his outlook, but are afraid to speak out for fear of repercussions from social justice warriors in the company, such as being added to blacklists.
In a memo sent to employees, Google CEO Sundar Pichai reportedly claimed that Damore had violated their Code of Conduct.
Earlier in the day we reported on free speech social media platform Gab, which expressed interest in hiring Damore if he was fired from Google.

I expected nothing less.
Perpetuating racial and political stereotypes is perfectly acceptable, though.
They claimed that they fired him for expressing the opinion that women were biologically incapable of doing jobs that men did at Google. That’s not what he said, however. He said that their biological propensities made them less inclined to want to do those jobs.
They are thought control commissars at google. You will comply, this is just like Mozilla/Firefiox.
Do not use any of their resources.
Applying stereotypes to white males is fine, too.
The Bay Area, Silicon Valley, and most of California are under de facto totalitarian progressive rule. There is no way anyone working there who expresses contrarian non-Statist, politically incorrect opinions keeps his job. More than 75% of the local population is cheering this heretic’s termination.
Diversity is tolerance; diverse points of views will not be tolerated.
Of course they did.
“James Damore, whose manifesto criticizing the politically correct corporate culture at Google”
Do it while you are heading out the door to another company, or else dont act shocked when you get canned for telling the boss “you suck”.
That’s all you see here?
Google is currently riding high. However it has demonstrated a nasty flaw. It silences criticism within and the expression of thought that does not correspond to the narrative of its corporate leadership. History if anything has shown that such haughtiness is not just a nasty flaw, it is often fatal.
Heck of a way to be proved correct.
Am I supposed to jump up and down and scream HOW DARE YOU, GOOGLE!? You cant fire people that dont want in your leftist company!
So what happens when a conservative company lets go some millennial special snowflake because she fires off a memo excoriating the company for not having bathrooms for non-gender binary otherkin, or not giving women a week off during the periods?
Either these companies can have the corporate culture they want or they cant.
I don’t like what Google did, but it is their whorehouse, and they can put up whatever curtains they want.
Where are all of those leftists who love to talk about the blacklisting in Hollywood in the 1950’s? If they don’t condemn Google for this, then they are hypocritics.
Google is rtegarded as a source for information on the internet by most.
Yet the “information” Google puts out is tainted by the fact that Google is a rabidly left wing operation.
Do you really not comprehend that?
If you happen to have affluent parents who can afford to send you to an elite university and you happen to land a full time job at The Goog, don't make the women unhappy.
Did he post on an internal bulletin board that promised anonymity? If so, it’s really messed up to search him out and fire him.
He didn’t threaten terrorism, or libel anyone, or confess to any real world crime. He expressed his opinions on what sounds like an anonymous forum.
And, I’ve read what he wrote. I would have been less mild if I wrote it.
