A university is refusing to allow a counselor who specializes in transgender mental health to study transgender people who regret having a sex change because the school says the study isn’t politically correct.
James Caspian, a U.K. psychotherapist seeking to write a master thesis on transgenders who transition back to their birth gender at the U.K.’s Bath Spa University, explained that he thought it was important to study people who had transitioned and then changed their minds after receiving sex-reassignment surgery because no research has been conducted on this group of people.
“I was astonished at that decision,” Caspian told BBC News and said the university is violating intellectual freedom of enquiry by preventing him from conducting his study. “I think that a university exists to encourage discussion, research – dissent even, challenging perhaps ideas that are out of date or not particularly useful,” he said. Caspian noted that he had a hard time finding transgenders who were willing to participate in the study. “They said they felt too traumatised to talk about it, which made me think we really need to do the research even more,” he added.

He should do a study on why universities are spineless in the face of political correctness.
I would think this would be a very valid study, all social politics aside.
Perhaps they might allow him to do this study if he agreed to say that anyone who decides to change back to their original gender is certifiably insane.

Not that it has anything to do with transgenderism, but MIT professor Peter Hegelstein, who conducts an “IAP” course in LENR (also known as cold fusion) prefaces every lecture with a detailed statement in which he warns everyone present that working on cold fusion, or expressing a desire to work on cold fusion as a field of research, or even being in attendance in the class, could seriously jeopardize their career prospects, particularly if they aspire to a career in the academic world.

I thought it was settled here years back that cold fusion was a scam ...
He will also need to plan on not teaching anywhere.
1) Because no one would ever regret such a move.
2) Because some studies are racist sexist bigoted and homophobic by definition.
3) Because crazy confused people don't need to be made more confused.
