The Chinese can be very ruthless in dealing with challenges to their authority. If they have to resort to genocide, they will.

I doubt they'd go that far in this day and age, but I can easily see them jailing individual disidents for indefinite periods of time, or using a myriad of other repressive measures to stamp out Islam in their country.

Terrorism is an idea.
The KGB knew how to fight ideas. You go into the terrorist’s ‘village’ and you kill every member of his family, and anyone else you want to.
Do this often enough, and the idea of doing a terrorist act will die in the host’s brain before it ever gets to his lips.
The key is that the response to a terrorist act must be immediate, brutal, and publicized.

I couldn't agree more. I predict it will come to that in Western Europe by 2030. By then, the muzzies will have gained such a strong foothold on the continent, the outcome will be in great doubt.
Naturally, the Europeans will expect us to run to rescue them from their self-inflicted troubles. Again.
Sadly, I also believe that to be the case. A great conflict is coming, between Islam and what will be left of the civilized world at that time.
My sense is that it will begin in Western Europe sometime around 2030, then spread to engulf the entire planet within a few years. One way or another, this thing will come to a head, because not every non-muslim will roll over and submit.

The ChiComs will figure out a way. Slaughter a few Muslim villages, and the rest will flee over the border (which will be opened just long enough to let them out).
Alternately, the Chinese could deal with the shortage of women (caused by their "one child" policy) by redistributing all the teenage Muslim girls to Chinese husbands elsewhere in China.

Offhand, I’d say it’s not the religious *caucus* threads (where there is little debate), but the *NON-caucus* religion threads, where the volleys of inflammatory backchat run into the hundreds.
The Religion Forum has its positive aspects. It tends to keep the real fanatics fenced off in one little sealed reservation.
Fortunately, Eastern Europe and Russia will be allies in the next war for humanity.
