Actually though there is one group who gets legally oppressed then killed-— aborted babies. Exploited too by demented, greedy and selfish LIEberals.
As a corollary to this - I hear the constant refrain from Catholics and Protestants of all types who continue to harp on poverty and “the poor.” No doubt Christ spoke about this, but to me, as I look around America today, the calls to materially “help the poor” have become just empty slogans.
But for possibly the first time in history, America and the West have created a surfeit of material wealth. The mass of people’s problems, IMHO, don’t spring from real poverty, but rather the opposite - the effects of materialism, modern narcissism, entertainment, and the cultural-marxist politics of these things.
I don’t want to preach cynicism, but I see a need for an “update” in Christian attitudes.

There sure are oppressed people in America. Here in Illinois we are oppressed with unbearable taxes. Constantly raising income tax, business tax, property tax, gas tax, sales tax, sugar tax, utility tax, road tax, cell phone line tax, cable tax, and on and on and on. All the homes in Illinois are held as collateral for public union pensions. We are oppressed in Illinois.
You are not oppressed if you fail to take advantage of the opportunities available to you. If you are allowing peer pressure to keep you down, first blame yourself and then, and only then, blame your fellows who have convinces you to live apart from society at large.
