Fellow Puerto Rico Mayor SHREDS San Juan Mayor Cruz ‘She’s Not Participating in Any FEMA Meetings’
The Gateway Pundit ^ | 9/30/2017

Mayor Angel Perez of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico ripped San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz on Saturday after she attacked President Trump and accused him of doing nothing to help Puerto Rico after the island was devastated by Hurricane Maria.

The liberal media is pounding President Trump over the suffering in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria.

The San Juan Mayor slammed President Trump for ignoring the suffering people of Puerto Rico.

She said this while standing in front of pallets of US aid from the mainland. Now we know why the people have no aid. The Teamsters Union drivers did not show up to work. Only 20% of drivers arrived at the ports to distribute the relief supplies.

The San Juan Mayor has been invited to the FEMA Command Center SEVERAL TIMES — She has refused to show up!

Now this…

The Daily Caller spoke with Mayor Angel Perez and he described how his experience with government assistance has been different than what Cruz described because he is actually attending FEMA meetings and proactively helping his community:

“My experience is different. I have been participating in different meetings at the headquarters of FEMA and our government and the help is coming in and right now my experience is different from hers. I’m receiving help from the government, we are receiving assistance from FEMA, I got people over here helping us with applications for the people that have damage in their houses. And we have here in Guaynabo, we have thousands of people that lost partially or totally their houses.”

When Perez was asked about the “Genocide” comment Cruz made, the Mayor responded:

“I don’t know why she is saying that. What I can tell you is my experience. She is not participating in any meetings and we had a couple already with the governors and with representation of FEMA and of HUD, of these whole federal agencies that have given us help and she’s not participating in those meetings and some mayors from her political party have been participating, so I don’t know why she is saying that. My experience is very different.”

Cruz is getting ripped on social media as well for ‘performing for the cameras’ instead of for the citizens.

Beyond pathetic.

More confirmation that the San Juan Mayor Cruz has not even been participating in coordinating with the Federal relief efforts - so she doesn't know what they are doing or not doing - by choice - yet she comes out holding press conferences and interviews that are now confirmed to be purely partisan political events, and the press gives her credibility because she's saying negative things about the President. She's not even participating in coordinating with the Federal government, but yet they give her headlines that she's "mad as hell" at the lack of coordination and logistics. It's all complete nonsense. The President should tweet out this article - this needs to go viral. Let's all tweet this article, share it, etc.

“SHREDS”?
Is that worse than “DESTROYS”? I think it is, but it’s probably not as bad as “UTTERLY DESTROYS”.

There will be a very big political price to pay, for the leftist demagogues in the aftermath of hurricane Maria.

Mayor Cruz is exploiting the misery of her people for political slander and lies and ,to me, exemplifies the communist left that she represents. This is the type of off the wall over the top nonsense which has totally destroyed all credibility of the leftists on any matter. But one thing is Chrystal clear. We NEVER want these people as a state.

Typical lib, following the Katrina playbook. She can’t effectively lead, so she’s going to “get ahead of the issue” and point the finger of blame elsewhere. She’s in over her head, just like Nagin and Blanco.

I don;t know why we even have them as a territory since they like to come over here, fly their flag, speak their language.

The only exemption should be if they want to serve in the military , and then can apply to stay here. Similar to what the Gurkha’s do with the British Army.

Notice the cultural didderence in the resolve of Houstonians vs the PR bunch. Houston folks pulled their own weight. They didn’t sit around whining like puppies for a bone from the master. Most Texans quickly repaired damage by themselves. No hand out but a helping hand. The Texans are wonderful people in contrast to the PR bunch which seems to me to be stuck at the bus stop waiting for a bus from President Trump. Im getting tired of watching it.

The mayor of San Juan has learned from the mayor of Chicago that no crisis should go to waste without scoring political talking points and propaganda.

I agree. They are a foreign country under our protectorate similar to Guam. They are absolutely not “Americans” as I define the Term any more than a Mexican is an “American” . They spent themselves into bankrupcy and now want your money to bail them out. Im ready for them to boot strap themselves sand move on.

Yes, since they voted not to be a state, give them their independance or return them to Spain. We don’t need them to serve as a coaling station anymore.

News...what we call news now, is a struggle for clicks. The more clicks the more revenue. So, instead of news it has become entertainment. Entertainment is drama and drama is conflict. Hence, title writers must inflict the maximum conflict into every sentence to maximize clicks/revenue.

Incidentally, the latest Star Trek has abandoned Roddenberry’s rule which was all conflict was focused outside. The people inside were to be harmonious or any conflict would be story influenced and not last past one episode. I haven’t watched it as I can’t stand the communizing of Star Trek. But this latest one is being blasted on the Internet because of the blatant anti-whiteness of the top people and the pointless inter-character conflict. (Just an observation that everything now is about conflict. That makes FR a refuge, except for articles like this one.)

We NEVER want these people as a state.

We?!?

Are you speaking for the "we" that you think that represents the whole U.S., or the we part of the U.S. that is intolerant of those that you disagree with?

You are no better than those liberals out there who believe that their opinions are the only ones that count.

As a conservative, I don't presume to speak for all the "we" that you think should be the decision makers.

I don't agree with the idiotic liberalism that has destroyed P.R. way before Maria struck, but, I also don't assume that all Puerto Ricans are the same.

How can you subject your own people to incredible suffering and potential death over politics? If so, politics is the religion of the person. They believe the right to power surpasses the welfare of the people. islam does that too.

And Trump is punching right back. Bush just sat there and took it as he and his administration were slandered with outright lies over Katrina. We finally, at long last, have a president willing to stand up against leftist BS.

The only thing Puerto Rico is good for is providing a buffer before the hurricanes enter the Gulf.

Give PR to Venezuela where lying hardcore leftist tyranny rules just the same way. Propaganda over the people at any cost or consequence. Our American Founders were truly great leaders even more appreciated now by us patriots as we witness such utter large scale rotgut unworthy leftists operate the world over.
