Congress NEVER passes clean bills with only one thing in them. They'll use bump stock legislation as a container for all their wet dreams including "universal background checks," AKA gun registration.

The same bumping can be achieved without a special stock. Bump stocks only enable the shooter to shoulder the weapon, thus making it easier to aim.

Whatever the solution is - assuming there is one - it will never come from the swamp.

This guy was "checked" more than 40 times. What would be their point?

Bump stocks? It'll just create another black market.

He had enough money. He could have had guns delivered personally on a gold platter.

It is not bump stocks that are the problem.

Turn the question around.

The question should not be “what should be done regarding inanimate objects such as guns, or automobiles?”

The question needs to be “what is it about the heart of man that allows him to perform such heinous acts?”

Todays heart of man has been diluted with respect to murder.

With respect to murder the heart of man has been numbed.

When our society allows the murder of it’s own innocent children, when our society celebrates the murder of it’s own innocent children, when our society promotes the murder of it’s own innocent children; then the heart of man will indeed become numbed.

The societal acceptance of innocent baby murder as an allowable cultural norm destroys the heart of man.

Murder of the innocent then becomes acceptable; by using any means.

Sucking out a baby, killing a baby with a salt water solution, stuffing forceps into the back of the head of a baby, shooting up your classmates, driving into a crowd, firing into a crowd, setting up explosives.

This all becomes acceptable in a murder driven society.

We need to stop murdering innocent babies. It starts here.

Bill Cunningham described Gun Registration as to Vehicle Registration with yearly fees that of course will increase year after year.
Heard some liberal on Tucker Carlson mention that the government knows how many cars I own. So....

If he had failed a background check, if gov’t would have banned all semi-autos, hi-cap mags, if only we had registration, oh yes, no bump stocks,............. he would never have killed anyone. Right? Don’t forget that he was a pilot and could have flown or driven into a crowd.

I found it odd that DOJ, or some subsidiary, announced the next day that all the recovered guns were legally purchased by the shooter. I mean, federal law prohibits any agency from maintaining a database of firearms purchasers matched to serial numbers. How could they have recovered all that information from manufacturers, distributors, and retailers so quickly?

Are they going to ban rubber bands too?

If the Senate Republicans had a spine and didn’t agree with 80% of the liberals’ agenda, they would eliminate the filibuster rule and do what is right for America.

Trade nothing.
They want all guns.
They have said it.
Put the mentally ill back in in in nut houses and let us move on.

You can bump fire a semi-auto rifle from the shoulder with the help of a rubber band. Semi-auto rifles can be bump fired even without using any add-on aid. Even semi-auto pistols can be bump fired.

The gun grabbers won’t be satisfied with banning bump-fire stocks. I expect they’ll be pushing hard for severe magazine capacity restrictions. They might even try to ban semi-automatic firearms altogether though that would probably be almost impossible for them to achieve.

Well, you all know what, I was always on the fence and suspicious of ending fillibuster rule, not anymore! I am against it.

Trump is making a serious mistake asking to change the rule for a temporary legacy which could saddle us years later with government deicts after government edicts.

Banning bump stocks will have no practical effect. The phenomenon can be duplicated with a thumb and a belt loop.

I predict that bump stocks are going to be outlawed and ammunition will be heavily taxed.

There's only one way I could support them even thinking about this stupid 'bump-stock' crap. Craft a bill with national reciprocity, an end to the regulations on suppressors, and they can consider tacking on the bump-stock regs.

Of course, my preference would be to just repeal the 1934, 1968 and 1986 gun laws, AND add in national reciprocity on top of it.
