If one reads the original Washington Post article on Judge Moores supposed harassment of underage girls with an open mind, one will conclude that Judge Moore is completely innocent, and that he is the victim of Fake News.
First, a few definitions. I shall call a human female who is under the age of consent, a girl. I shall call a human female who is of the age of consent, a woman. I shall also define the age of consent to be what the legal code of the state of Alabama, both in the 1970s and today, to be the age of consent: 16. This age is above the biological age of consent, which is puberty: menstruation for a woman, pubic hair for a man. In medieval canon law, a woman was thus of the age of consent around 12. In most of current-day Mexico, this is still the age of consent. I am a 70-year-old college professor, and to me, a woman under the age of 30 seems like a young girl. I personally regard none of my female students as women; all are children in my eyes. But I shall reject both the biological age of consent, and my own personal view of the age of consent, and adopt Alabamas age of consent.
Now read the Post article and assume that the reporters wrote the exact truth about what four human females told them (a big assumption, I grant). Then three of the four claim that Roy Moore dated them when they were women, not girls. And not only did they themselves consent to dating Moore, their families consented to their dating Moore.

A linear, tight, well-written and persuasive article.
Pretty good article.
Too bad he did not include the mother’s saying that her 52 year old daughter was pressured by the Washington Post reporters to come out with the story.
Very good thought process from this professor. I contend he is absolutely correct as well.
Never Trumpers and drive by media radio talk hosts are having a field day ignoring the fact that all of the accusers were of the age of legal consent. Including the one claiming when 14 years old. For her accusations are the juiciest. Which they gleefully relate and dwell on in a touchy feel-ly manner as if it came off of a police report yesterday. Not as a unsubstantiated recollection from 40 years ago. Because they know these are damaging accusations which will be almost impossible to disprove.
Despite that fact that it has been uncovered that two of his accusers are working for the Perversion Party and that their accusations are false and politically motivated. The drivebys and the nevers media are not reporting this but are mentioning one accuser is a “Republican” but never name the person.
Here is background on two accusers. One works for the perverts that one knows the one who claimed she was 14. But was actually 17 at the time? http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3603606/
Has Ms. Corfman’s birth certificate and/or her high school class yearbook surfaced?
Have Republicans ever acted with such speed and unity as they have against Moore.? Truly bizarre. When you’re taking flack...
This is all TOO coordinated, from the get go....and, the RINOs are neck deep in the coordination of this Moore smear.
I asked, the other day, why McConJob can’t move this quickly on getting Trump agenda passed and Judges confirmed.
Because McTurtle IS the problem.
Bannon is right...McConnell MUST resign.
He wasn't TRUMP's guy!!
WTF are #NeverTRUMPers going after Moore?
He wasn’t TRUMP’s guy!!
He is pro-American, a Christian believer, and pro-life.
That is plenty. Plus, He Fights!
Sorry but a 52 year old woman can’t use an excuse of being pressured. She made a choice & she owns it.
It is her mother saying she was pressured.
I did understand that, but the woman must have indicated that to her mom for the mom to make that statement.
The Billy Bush Access Hollywood attack was Washington Post, and it was at the start of early voting, 32 days before Election Day, when it was just barely too late to change candidates if we wanted to.
The attack on Judge Moore was Washington Post, and it was at the start of early voting, 32 days before Election Day, 33 days before Election Day, when it was just barely too late to change candidates if we wanted to.
This seems to be a pattern, and a planned attack.
This seems to be a pattern, and a planned attack.
Of course it is. Anyone who thinks the Washington Post is not a part of the leftist political machine is not paying attention.
People need to remember this is round 1. Round 2 comes when Moore is elected and both the Democrats and Republicans snub him and marginalize him for the next two years. Round 3 comes in 2020 when Moore is up for reelection and the GOP establishment runs and funds an opponent in the primary. They will do this not only to remove a thorn on McConnell’s side but also because the Democrats will be hammering every Republican senate candidate on where they stand on Moore and women issues, and they will have to have an alternate candidate to support.
Last Night I happened to watch a PBS (American Masters) documentary about the Author J. D. Salinger.
Of course, the author of “Catcher in the Rye”, “Franny and Zooey” and many “New Yorker” short stories was an absolute DARLING of the Left, of the Liberal New York City Intelligentsia, and of the Entire Milieu of Academia, Media, and Hollywood.
The Documentary showed Salinger’s service in WW2, his struggles with PTSD, and his vigorous writing habits.
It also, in a very matter-of-fact and non-judgemental fashion, chronicled his succession of very young women, some as young as 14 - 16, whom he actively pursued and then discarded when they began to bore him.
The women, now mature and still trying to appear tragically “hip”, reminisced about it as if it were the time of their lives, and only showed annoyance at having been dumped for a younger version of themselves.
I could not believe what I was watching, especially when looking at the outrage generated by the allegations against Judge Roy Moore.
By 2020, it is my fervent hope that McConnell has lost his seat, or at least his leadership position. He’s up in 2018, if I remember correctly.
