Breaking Israel News ^ | 12/21/17 | By Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz

A scene straight from the Temple of Solomon was recreated on Tuesday evening when Kohanim lit the menorah, but even more wondrous than this sight was the fragrance that accompanied the event: for the first time in 2,000 years, incense was burned in the Biblically prescribed manner.

The Temple reenactment took place in the Gan Tekuma park adjacent to the Jewish Quarter inside of Jerusalem’s old city walls at 5:00 PM, just after sunset. The Kohanim (Jewish men of priestly descent) were dressed in priestly garments as described in the Bible.

Reenactment. Like Civil War reenactors. Without the stamp of approval of Agudath Israel in the US and in Israel, it’s just play-acting.

Without a doubt. As one who has spent a fair bit of time studying eschatology, I can say that I can't think of anything left that needs to fall into place before His return.... any day now.

The palestinians want the Jews in Israel to “share” Jerusalem (before trying to wipe them out). Fair being fair, the palestinians should share the Dome of The Rock and Temple grounds with the Jews. Let’s see how far fairness goes with muslim animals.

Don’t be hard hearted. Rehursals are needed. Judaism is full of rehursals and reenactments as a matter of course. For example, Sabbath. It is like a rehursals for when God and his wife finally come together. Or Passover which is a reenactment for the event of Moses leading the children of Israel out of slavery to the mountain of God to hear the word and become freemen to serve the All Mighty and Holy one. There are tons of examples of reenactments of history and yet to be prophetic events. This is one way in which this people have survived despite the odds, and continue to keep HaShem before their eyes throughout the dangerous journey called..life.

Complete Jewish ignorance here so be nice.

How can there ever be a temple, Herod’s or otherwise, without the Ark?

What if it isn't and you're dead wrong?

What if these are outcroppings in the period of the Beginning of Birth Pants described by Jesus Christ in Matthew 24.

What if these acts are part of the workings of false prophets described there. After all, there are no mentions or existence of Agudath Israel either Tanakh or the New Testament.

I think you're grasping at straws.

The lighting of the Hanukkah menorah for eight days is based on the story of how, after defeating the Romans...

That's pretty funny. Who writes this stuff? A fellow named Adam Eliyahu apparently. It must be a prophecy regarding Edom then.

I figure it's like the concept of creating reality, where traditions end up becoming literal meanings. Flipped over stories.

Take, for example, the issue with the Christmas-Chanukah merge. Chanukah is the story of anti-assimilation, yet ironically it became the most secularized of holidays. Chanukah bushes and all that.

And this happens during the Torah and Haftarah readings that involve the reunion of Joseph and Jacob, and Joseph with his brothers. That is to say, it's another flipped over story.

All roads lead to Rome (Edom).

Rome---> Christianity---> Western Civ---> America

Rome (Edom) is the city famous for its domes. You can't make this stuff up.

Amen. It added poignancy to Christmas for me as I contemplated the shepherds and wise men hearing of the birth of the Messiah and looking at one another thinking, “Now? Can it be? In OUR LIFETIMES!!!”

Not necessarily a requirement, the Ark never resided in "Herod's" Temple. It disappeared about the time King Nebuchadnezzar destroyed the first Temple. Herod, King of the Jews, was at best a nominal Jew, he
