How about a deadline to charge Hillary, Comey, Strozk, et al in the bigger scam? Turn the tables! Soon!

Flynn lied to the VP and Comey is a slimy elitist who was fired based on recommendations from the DOJ. That should take about 5 minutes.

Not gonna happen.

Trump would have to believe that Mueller would honor any such agreement and actually end the investigation.

Nobody is that stupid.

As Roger Stone said a few months ago, Trump’s lawyers are marching him towards the gallows. If this ‘report’ is true, nothing has changed on that front.

no no no no NO NO NO!!!!!

Mueller does NOT want an end to his investigation!
He wants to drag this out to drip-drip-drip incriminating-sounding stuff just before the November midterms and beyond.

Letting him interview Trump would just be giving him ammo to do MORE of this.

The proper way to end this investigation is to FIRE JEFF SESSIONS and then have the new AG FIRE MUELLER.

Mueller was a bad pick, can’t trust him to do what is right as he is too close to Comey, the FBI and Hillary.

” reaching an agreement with Mr. Mueller on the scope of his questioning of the president, which they expect to focus largely on his decision to fire former national security adviser Mike Flynn and former FBI director James Comey”

This is clearly within his Constitutional powers and not subject to review by some lower level executive branch lawyer.

If the Mueller investigation does nothing else, it provides content for 24/7/365 media reporting. And if it lasts until the mid-term elections, it will have served its basic purpose.

Mueller got involved as the front-man for this ridiculous and dangerous presidential politics ploy.

he’s either a dupe and a fool, or a cynical willing participant

Either way, he’s making an ass of himself, and he’s destroying his reputation forever. That needs to be made clear for the American public.

Not upset at Trump here, but this does rub me the wrong way.

Mueller should have about ten boots firmly implanted in his posterior by now. Instead he’s just plodding away trying to manufacture as many process complaints as he can.

This guy is morally bankrupt.

I’d rather see Trump give him a “produce-by” date, and can his ass if he hasn’t wrapped it up by then.

There is no way such an interview will lead to anything but two more years of investigations. Astoundingly bad idea; unless it is being floated as a gambit, Trump-style. No attorney would ever allow Trump to be interviewed. There is nothing but downside from such a proposition.

The issue is the Lying Leftist media screaming "obstruction of justice"and the Lying Dems pursuing such.

Solution IMO.

1) As part of the DOJ, Mueller reports to Trump.

2) There is no constitutional grounds for a "special counsel".

3) Trump should awaken and corral public opinion. He should use every means available to tell the American People that CONGRESS is the ONLY body assigned by the Constitution to impeach and convict a sitting President (U.S. Const., art. I, sec 2, cl. 5; art. I, sec. 3, cl. 6) and, thus, upon reasonable suspicion or probable cause, launch their own instigation. Valid investigation of a sitting President should be conducted by Congress, not the dysfunctional, extra-constitutional, interest-conflicted "special counsel." Shake. Stir. Repeat. Shake. Stir. Repeat.

4) Trump should fire Mueller. Once informed public opinion is on his side, Trump should remove Mueller again explaining constitutional grounds and telling Congress to either produce reasonable suspicion or probable cause to launch an investigation of Trump or DROP IT. The eviscerated Lying Leftist media's call for "obstruction of justice" would fall to the ground and be ignored.
