I haven't thought about in decades!

But I bet if you gave it some thought, you could sing the entire song!

For those who listen to singers from south of the border;
Lagrimas, (The Tears) by Jose Jose from 1983.
La Barca, ( The Boat) by Luis Miguel from 1991.
I’m not fluent in Spanish, but I like the song structures, the singing and the performances.

I've been a huge fan of Eric Tingstad & Nancy Rumbel for three decades from their very first release of "The Gift," a Christmas album, on the Narada label. They produced the instrumental album "In the Garden" in 1991 and it has the bluesy, moody, funky and somewhat discordant song "Big Weather." Though they are most often labeled as "New Age," this song is anything but.

The Grammy Award winning duo of guitarist Eric Tigstad and multi-instrumentalist Nancy Rumbel have been recording and performing together since 1985, producing a mixture of contemporary jazz and new age music, with both neoclassical and folk influences and elements.

Rumbel had been a member of the Paul Winter Consort for eight years before moving to Seattle and meeting Tingstad. She mainly plays oboe, English horn and double ocarina. They were signed by Narada in 1985, which released their debut Christmas album, "The Gift". The album "Acoustic Garden" won the 2002 Grammy for Best New Age Album.

You are almost right...I just listened to it on YouTube and could sing along with it like it was popular yesterday. Hearing the tune and the singers triggers the good memories. But, struggle as I might, I doubt I could sing it without the prompts of the music and voices..

If anybody should know lots of “Stormy Weather” songs, it has to be you! You’ve probably experienced more of it than all of the rest of us put together.

Got to see ‘em live a couple times in the late 70s from just a few rows back, and phenomenal is an understatement.
I swear Pastorius’s fingers looked about 18” long flyin’ over that bass !

It was mostly older folks, and I saw several guys with “Vietnam Veteran” hats. They were a wonderful audience, and some excellent musicians too.

They were very impressed with Josh.

Blowing in the wind--Peter, Paul and Mary (1963)

Have you ever wonder what this song is about? Here's the answer:

"There is a Chinese saying, "Either the East Wind prevails over the West Wind or the West Wind prevails over the East Wind." I believe it is characteristic of the situation today that the East Wind is prevailing over the West Wind. That is to say, the forces of socialism have become overwhelmingly superior to the forces of imperialism."

--Mao Tse-tung, November 17, 1957
