Anti-Brett Kavanaugh protesters flooded Capitol Hill for weeks before his eventual confirmation to the Supreme Court, walking hallways in protest, holding loud demonstrations and confronting senators in their office buildings.
One such protester named Alethea Torrellas Shapiro had been attempting to harass senators on the Hill for days and regularly used her school-aged children to do so.
Shapiro is an activist who calls extremist feminist activist Linda Sarsour her hero and regularly goes on profanity-laced tirades against GOP senators like Chuck Grassley.
After Kavanaugh’s confirmation, Shapiro wrote a public post on Facebook describing how she intended to use her four young children to shame “these horrible atrocious men” in the Senate “now that they confirmed Kavanaugh.” She writes:
Tomorrow I plan on birddogging in the Senate hallways and basement with all 4 of my kids (my daughters are 12, 10 and my boys are 5, 3). I went these horrible atrocious men to see the faces of the future that they are ruining and to know the tremendous pain women and men are feeling now that they confirmed Kavanaugh. So if you have 1-2 lines for me to tell them, or a message what should I say??? I need help! I also want to address their Kavanaugh confirmation so what do I say…
One of the senators Shapiro approached was Sen. Bill Cassidy of Louisiana. Cassidy has made a name for himself shucking off protesters and throwing their arguments back at them.
Shapiro caught Cassidy as he was walking at a brisk pace in a Senate office building. She asked, “Sen. Cassidy, can you please apologize to my children for ruining their futures?”
The senator turned to the kids, removed his earbuds and said, “Hey, guess what. … I know your parents are using you as tools.”
“No, we’re not using them as tools. We’re not using them as tools,” Shapiro interrupted.
Cassidy concluded, “But in the future, if somebody makes an allegation against you, and there’s no proof for it, you will be OK. Thank you.”
He then walked away.
Shapiro could be heard yelling at Cassidy at the end of the video, saying, “Shame on you for not believing women and for ruining my daughters’ lives.”
I think I would like this Senator Cassidy.

Mis education should be tantamount to child abuse. Perhaps these children can shrug off the lies and liberate themselves, but the parents have already done so much to ruin their lives.

I used to be a male feminist because of my strongly held conviction that basic fairness demanded that all people should be free to pursue their dreams regardless of which gender or race they born to and I watched as my mom was denied that freedom simply because she was a woman.
I broke with the movement for the same reasons as Paglia, just a lot sooner.
Have an old friend who is an African American lesbian with a law degree from one of our elite schools. She has been a professional feminist for over 30 years and works in DC for one of our esteemed Solons on women's rights and African American issues so she deals with feminists on a daily basis.
Last talk, she told me she was having a crisis of confidence in chosen line of work because the people she were dealing with had become progressively more extreme and irrational over the last 15 or so years and the the current generation of activists had become so unhinged and toxic that she felt they were totally incapable of measured, rational thought and that many were unstable and clinically insane.
She is also well acquainted with the Clintons, especially Hillary, so she stunned me when she said that she could not bring herself to vote for Trump, but that she left her ballot box for President because she could not bring herself to vote for Hillary due to corruption issues. She will, however, be voting for Trump in 2020 if he runs because in her words, “ President Trump has done more to provide opportunity and better the lives of Black Americans in the last 2 years than she has seen in all her decades in Washington” and that, because of Trumps success, she had come to the realization that the 8 years of Obama had been an economic death sentence for the futures of an entire generation of black kids (as well as everyone else) .
Tell your friend to contact Tammy Bruce. She’s a staunch conservative, who used to be president of N.O.W. She also used to be a lesbian, but last I heard, she now says she’s bisexual. Whatever. But the rest of her politics are very conservative.
That was quite a sob story on GoFundMe....The woman who was “helping” didn’t think it odd that she could remove all the family’s belongings from an apartment and get them into A car so it could all be stored in her garage. Apparently this family wasn’t big on material possessions. They depended on what to take care of the family they already had? Silly question!
It appears that the family came from the Philippines - her appearance would bear that out but she didn’t speak with an accent. Possibly the dad was military and met the hellion there. Poor slob!
