Among the cartoons honoring the passing of President George Herbert Walker Bush are two which showing him arriving in Heaven and being by his wife of 73 years, Barbara, and his daughter Robin who died at the age of three from leukemia.

Since both images are owned by Gannett, only the links may be displayed.

Gary Varvel, The Indianapolis Star

Marshall Ramsey, The Clarion-Ledger (Jackson, Mississippi)

Are there any others that you would like to add?

I’m glad he lived to see Trump destroy the corrupt political dynasty he spawned,

I will say no more

Yes. Very moving. Nobody ever doubted that the Bushes were devoted to each other.

I wonder what the press will say about either Bill or Hillary when they shuffle off their mortal coils.

I think GHWB’s war service was particularly exemplary due to his age and position meaning his families wealth.

Arguably, he could have avoided service all together.

But, one undeniable fact is that his son led us into the longest war we’ve ever been in.

That and his “read my lips”...……...no new taxes! and his dubious personal relationship with successive Saudi Governments that continued AFTER 911, and his accumulated and extraordinary wealth, cause me to not feel real warm and fuzzy about him.

I don’t feel inclined to badly bash the Bushes altho I have lost ALL respect. I often wished I had parents like them. The Clinton’s however...that will be a different story

Reagan had a dream; GHWB sh*t on it.

President Trump is a political miracle in MAGA that will also be left to rot.

The Fox special just showed the letter her wrote his mother about Robin. Losing her broke his heart.

The press was on his case from Day 1 when he was president. Same for his son. Same for Trump.

Interesting a leftwing slime sheet like Gannett seeks to deify him. Google is doing the same thing.

I flipped on some MSDNC and DNCNN earlier today. They act like he was a saint!

Their hatred for Trump trumps their hatred for the Bush family.

Gary Varvel was a cartoonist for the Indy Star when it was owned by the Pulliams, before they sold out to Gannett, killing off the biggest (last?) conservative paper in the country at the time. Varvel is one of us.

But face it, GHWB was not all bad. When somebody dies, it is hard to be harsh if the departed was not all bad.

GHWB’s quote invoking NWO indeed freaked me out, but I don’t believe he understood what he was saying, intellectual lightweight, he.

Evidence of his light weight? His offspring, W and Jeb.

The apple doesn't fall far from the horse.

George W. was their oldest child and, I think, the only one who knew Robin. I read that they did not tell George about Robin’s illness so her death came as a total surprise and shock to him.
