JUSSIE SMOLLETT Sued By City of Chicago HALF A MIL ON THE LINE
tmz ^ | 4/11/2019 | tmz

Jussie Smollett has just been hammered with a lawsuit the City of Chicago promised ... and he may effectively go on trial for allegedly staging the "attack" in January. All told, the City wants what will almost certainly be upwards of a half a million dollars.

The lawsuit -- to recover the costs of investigating the case -- outlines what the City claims Jussie did. It says Jussie and Abel Osundairo had been friends since 2017 -- socializing and exercising together. It says Abel assisted Jussie in obtaining recreational drugs.

The lawsuit claims Jussie told Abel shortly before the "attack," "Might need your help on the low."

The lawsuit claims, as we reported, Jussie scoped out the location for the "attack" with Abel and Ola 2 days before the attack and a dry run the day before. They agreed Abel would attack Jussie but would not hurt him too badly and would give Jussie a chance to appear to fight back.

CWBChicago ‏ @CWBChicago = BREAKING: Kim Foxx's chief ethics officer is leaving for private practice, according to multiple sources. Deputy is the one who said Foxx had "recused" herself from #JussieSmollett case. "Recusal" later found to be "colloquial" and not legal.

I don't think Smollett acted alone. Some politicians , I suspect Max Maxine, put him up to this. This is Kabuki Theater to keep their hands unseen. Just part of the Left’s ongoing effort to make wearing a Trump hat a thought crime.

They’re going to make him pay for a piddling role somewhere else.

They can’t have THIS and the spy investigation going on at the same time in 2020.

Smollett should have been inducted. The hate crime law movement is peaking even as hate crimes are disproportionately committed against whites and yet whites are more often charged with hate crimes. Also if you’re a black hate hoaxer, you get off. Is there anything fair or just in any of this. Doesn’t this sound like oppression with more to come.

it’s patently unconstitutional for a police agency to invoice a person for an investigation that lead to zero criminal charges being brought to court ... should this actually become the norm, no one in this country will ever be safe from police persecution and harassment ...

Smollet should be charged with a federal hate crime. He paid two men to rough up a gay, black man, based only on his race & sexual orientation.

“Hope he pays every penny of that plus Foxx charged as well.“

Actually, they have no business doing that because the charges were dropped. No crime, no conviction - it would be legalized shake down and extortion. The city blew it. Crimesha should take his place in an Illinois slammer.

The feds will get Smollett.

The minute you go to the cops....making up a fake story that invokes dozens (if not hundreds) of man-hours...I think the invoice becomes a necessity. I would agree, give the guy a choice of spending three months in county jail, or paying the amount of money.

The sad thing about this fake story plot, is that maybe ten-percent of cop report might fall into this category.

“it’s patently unconstitutional for a police agency to invoice a person for an investigation that lead to zero criminal charges being brought to court “

Just what are you smoking? The fact that a prosecutor decided against prosecution of a series of crimes charged by a local grand jury doesn’t mean that what actually happened, didn’t happen! How you can conflate this with some notion that it would promote persecution by the police is ludicrous.

“Smollet should be charged with a federal hate crime.”

It’s far easier just to charge him with the Federal crime associated with sending a threat through the US Mail. Mail Fraud, or something along that line because of the “white powder” letter he sent himself.

“...give the guy a choice of spending three months in county jail, or paying the amount of money.”

The sentencing will be up to the judge hearing the case, but if he has the money, and I am betting that he does, this civil action should be solely about Juicy making restitution for the costs associated with the bogus claims he made being investigated by the CPD. Jail would likely be a consequence of his not being able to pay the city their direct costs plus damages for having to sue him to collect.

Well I hope neither one of them ducks the hoax and the way she dropped the charges.

“How you can conflate this with some notion that it would promote persecution by the police is ludicrous.”

ludicrous like how police around the nation are confiscating large amounts of money and luxury goods and keeping them for their own use because they’re allowed to do so even if no charges are filed because they can pretend the money and goods MUST have come from drug dealing? ludicrous like that?
