Convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein is dead, law enforcement sources said Saturday.

A gurney carrying a man who looked like Epstein was wheeled out of the Manhattan Correctional Center around 7:30 a.m. The ambulance went to New York Downtown Hospital.

The incident comes two weeks after Epstein, 66, was placed on suicide watch after he was found nearly unconscious in his cell with injuries to his neck.

The multimillionaire financier is being held without bail pending trial on child sex-trafficking charges. Thousands of documents unsealed Friday in connection with a defamation case against the perv’s alleged recruiter revealed dozens of high-profile names that a self-identified victim, Virginia Giuffre, said she was forced to perform sex acts with, from former Maine Sen. George Mitchell and ex-New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, money manager Glenn Dubin and MIT professor Marvin Minksy.

Epstein was busted July 6 over the alleged sexual abuse of dozens of young girls in his Upper East Side townhouse and his waterfront mansion in Palm, Beach, Florida, between 2002 and 2005.

He has pleaded not guilty and faces up to 45 years in prison if convicted.

Jeffrey Epstein's kink must have been discovered while he was at the Dalton School. His "hedge fund only for billionaires" with no clients was set up to launder the cash necessary to set up recording studios in Paris, the Upper East Side, Palm Beach, New Mexico, and, yes, on "Pedophile Island".

Nobody, even a rich guy (if in fact Epstein was rich) would set up such an elaborate network of locations just to screw girls he could get easily for short money.

No, the primary purpose of Epstein was as MC to a series of little plays meant to capture important people for use later by parties unknown.

And the primary purpose of Bill Clinton, ESPECIALLY after the Florida conviction, was to manufacture a sense of safety for the targets of this operation.

The so called "26 trips to Pedophile Island" were nothing of the sort, if we go by flight logs. All 26 "flights" were either shorter legs on four trips to Africa and Asia, on nonstop from Westchester County Airport to Palm Beach International and back.

This whole story, if it ever were told, would be one of the most incredible tales ever in the history of espionage, right up to the murder of Epstein in Federal custody on suicide watch.

Is Epstein really dead?

Given what he knows, he was too much a security risk to stay in that New York City jail. There's a possibility that they faked his passing, moved him quietly to an undisclosed location, and Epstein is now singing like a canary on what he knows about the pedophile networks worldwide. And that location is not likely the prison at Guantanamo Bay, either.

The problem is that if Epstein was running a honey trap for one or more state actors, the people who were running him are still out there, still in possession of whatever damaging info Epstein got for them.

For all we know targets are still submitting to blackmail.

Even if Epstein really is dead, the national security nightmare is still with us until every one of his targets has been outted.
