DJT defused the immediate gun control howl. Atlantic and the left in general would rather believe that DJT is a puppet of his handlers and NRA is one such. That is why the left continually loses in these exchanges. They cannot conceive of a Republican or Conservative acting as his own source. That is why he is always two or three steps ahead of them.
