Here’s the way it is, Milt. I never voted for you in a primary. When my party chose you as its nominee, I voted for you, mainly because you were my party’s nominee, but also because you weren’t Obama. That was my endorsement of you. After that inane, half-assed effort of yours, my fondest wish is that you would disappear into private life and mind your own damned business, but the people of Utah have seen fit to breathe life into your political corpse and inflict you on us. I repent of my miniscule contribution to furthering you political ambitions. Now excuse me while I go and purge myself.
P.S. I used to work for a company that was taken over by Bain Capital. If I had lived in Massachusetts when you ran for the Senate, I would have voted for Kennedy.
I don't know if they will try to same gambit in 2020--and hopefully Trump's margin will be large enough that Utah won't matter.
