Trump Is Panicking
The Atlantic ^ | Sept 26, 2019 | David A. Graham

When Donald Trump stepped to the dais at the United Nations General Assembly yesterday, he had a speech full of sharp lines: swipes at socialism, assertions of nationalism versus globalism, harsh words for Iran. Though Trump doesn’t enjoy delivering scripted remarks, he sounded listless, tired, and bored even by his own standards, struggling through the speech.

The president had a good reason to be distracted. The same morning, he had spoken on the phone with Speaker Nancy Pelosi, trying to stem a growing tide of Democratic demands for his impeachment. According to NBC’s Heidi Przybyla, Trump asked Pelosi whether there was some way they could make a deal. Pelosi said the White House had to release the whistle-blower complaint to Congress, as required by statute. “Tell your people to obey the law,” she said.

After weeks of defiance, Trump seemed to change course. Yesterday afternoon, he announced that the White House would release a transcript of his July call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Later in the day, Politico’s Nancy Cook reported that the White House would release the whistle-blower complaint to Congress.

It was not enough to satisfy Pelosi. At 5 p.m. yesterday, she stepped before microphones in Washington and announced an “official impeachment inquiry,” with her support, into the president. It’s still unclear what this means materially, but it rattled Trump. At home in Trump Tower, he was stunned, believing that he’d managed to put Pelosi off in their morning conversation, according to CNN.

Chaos is a constant in the Trump administration, but this week there are signs of a far rarer impulse: panic. The indications come in Trump’s demeanor, including the listless speech; a combative, brief press availability with Zelensky at the UN this morning; and a rambling, stream-of-semi-consciousness press availability this afternoon.

“Unfortunately, not. There is no finality to revolution, sedition and treason.”

I understand. I think it is coming to a head with this president, though. I don’t see a way forward for us with the progressives, I can’t imagine the end to it. Civil war? No in the traditional sense. Some odd, convoluted cultural war? Seems like we are in it. Just more of the same? Year after year, the hate builds? Again, hard to imagine what the end is.

It’s projection. It’s all projection.

The Dems weaponize mental illness like group think and projection to control thought.

It’s getting old though.

No, he SEEMED listless. He was “lost in thought.” His manner was off somewhat. He spoke haltingly but looked around feverishly. His movements seemed chaotic but out-of-sync.

See, that’s all a journalist has to do when making up this tripe. None of it is factual — it’s all conjecture. But they’re not held accountable for this drivel and they don’t have to fact check any of it. And yet they still get paid. 🤬

A final bowel movement, maybe.

If this is impeachment then lets make the best of it. There is no sense playing nice anymore. For example stop giving in to the black robed Nazi judges and and their insipid injunctions. Ignore them. What are the going to do impeach?

Last night, my husband mentioned the fall of Rome as an example and pointed out that while it ws exceptionally bad for Rome’s elites, and there was a period of horror for the average Roman citizen, the rise of the Enlightenment was seeded in that fall.

Personally, I’m betting on some sort of Dark Age and some aborted attempt at turning America into a feudal hellhole that rebounds into a strong reaffirmation of Liberty and self rule. No time line. Probably some gnarly times in between.

No one I know will give up their arms or their rights without a real fight. These aren’t keyboard cowboys, they are silent, private people who will simply do what needs doing, without telegraphing their intent.

If they’re coming after PDJT, they’re coming after us.

Each of us is a soldier in the war against statist tyranny whether we like it or not.

Take what the Dems are doing very personally and govern yourself accordingly if you get my drift.

He was pretty controlled and calm considering he’s surrounded by oh-so-virtuous rabid nutters snapping at his ankles. Tired, a bit. 20 meetings in a day with individual leaders, 100 speeches to monitor, while working through the various trade and immigration agreements with certain countries and coming out a winner for America. Not that the MSM has reported on any of the UNGA except playing up as sanity an emotionally abused child allowed to rant incoherently just prior to being paid..errr..’winning’ $104K. Panicking? lol. Hardly.

I think you have a point. And its working on a lot of folk .. if you take a good look out there. It’s a spiritual war. Forces..not good forces.. they have grips on people minds. Causes them all sorts of confusion in their minds. People need to learn to sit down in a chair in quiet room alone and shut up. People can’t just sit down and shut up and push out this world and the devil and all his games of confusion. I am struggling myself even. This is a serious part of the battle we are in. Nobody is being spared.
