Putin Slams Greta: Why Should Developing Countries Continue to Live in Poverty?

“Emotions should not control this issue.”

Vladimir Putin chided Greta Thunberg’s environmental activism by asking her why developing countries should be forced to live in poverty unlike her home country of Sweden.

Thunberg, who has become the 16-year-old poster child for climate change alarmism, has been relentlessly promoted by the establishment in recent weeks.

However, when asked about her message, the Russian President didn’t mince his words.

“Go and explain to developing countries why they should continue living in poverty and not be like Sweden,” said Putin.

“Sure, Greta is kind, but emotions should not control this issue,” he added.

The Russian leader went on to assert that Greta was being used as a mouthpiece by other groups to achieve their political goals.

Last week, Greta filed a complaint with the UN against 5 countries for their inaction on global warming.

China – the biggest polluter in the world – was not on the list.

Greta has also been palling around with Arnold Schwarzenegger, a guy who has a garage full of muscle cars and tanks, as well as supreme hypocrite Leonardo DiCaprio, who once took a private jet to pick up an environmental award.

If we "let them" or "helped them" develop their own energy resources they could in turn exploit their own natural resources and THRIVE.

But the eugenicists in the Population Control crowd can't stand the thought of 3rd world growth and the loss of access to cheap foreign natural resources.

I have to say this over Putin....if you pose a question, he gives you a fairly thought-out answer.

All of the pro-Greta crowd have zero understanding of the third-world, or how transformation actually occurs in real life.

Greta is being manipulated and being directed how to respond is what I think.

“Sure, Greta is kind, but emotions should not control this issue,” .......
**********
Glad Putin has the guts to criticize Greta; but Greta is not “kind.” She is a loud mouthed little know-it-all who is incapable of thinking outside of the ideological box that has been built around her by her leftist parents and their fellow travelers.

Unless they have their own Left wingers in charge. All across post colonial Africa there were countries that looked to the Soviets or the French for their role models and they got presidents for life and ultimately poverty. But in the few places where they didn’t do so things went better, oust notably in Botswana which left colonialism as the poorest and least educated country in Africa ... ruled by blacks on American principals, it isn’t race that holds people back in Africa but the Left wing ideology.

Never mind Venezuela doing 60 to 0 in only a few years under socialism.

There’s plenty that teenagers should be concerned about. The mirage of “global warming”....oops! I mean “global cooling”...I mean “climate change” is not one of them.

Yes, he does. People can still think and speak logically when they don’t live under the threat of punishment (job loss, ostracism, public shaming, etc) for not toeing the pc line. Right now we are edging from merely keeping your mouth shut if you have dissenting views, into being forced to actually speaking support of the left’s cultural Marxism.

It’s unbelievable that I, as a supposed free American, supposedly a citizen of one of the most free countries in the world, would have to watch my words in speech and in writing, if I had certain jobs, more than the citizens of many former Soviet bloc countries have to do, this very day. The issues are different from those which plagued the citizens of those nations under Soviet Russia domination, but the principle is the same-punishment for thoughtcrime.

I was thinking that there will at some time a backlash similar to what happened in Norway with that bomber and then the youth training camp mass shooting.

Perhaps the girl will give the money she received from Soros and the Nobel Foundation for her UN tirade to third world countries. I seriously doubt she will!

In this world, the key to prosperity is an adequate supply of low cost power.

The lower the cost of power and the greater the supply the greater the prosperity

In the poverty stricken Third World even the most basic access to affordable power is a life changer and at very least a life sustainer

"He compared Norway's Labor Party youth wing to the Hitler Youth and called their annual summer gathering an "indoctrination" camp. But he later told prosecutors he would have preferred attacking a conference of Norwegian journalists instead, but wasn't able to carry out that "operation.""

From the Norway shooter. Behring Breivik defends massacre

Don't you think Greta looks a little Hitler youthish?

Thanks. The Green Nazis are the worse racists in the history of our world!

What does it mean to live off the grid?

It means life stops when the sun goes down. It means shutting the doors of your business at nightfall and losing out on money to support your family. It means spending up to 15 percent of your limited income on kerosene that gives off fumes that are responsible for more deaths a year than malaria, tuberculosis and HIV combined. It means getting treated at a hospital unequipped to store medicine, power incubators or operate medical equipment. It means not getting the education you deserve because your school lacks proper lighting, air conditioning and computers. It means living without a sense of security and feeling disconnected from the rest of modern society.

For many of us, it’s hard to imagine a life without power when electricity is the undercurrent of nearly every aspect of our lives. Yet this is the reality for more than 1.3 billion people around the world who lack access to energy.
