The military would be stuck with a whole s*** load of people that can’t be disciplined, can’t be trusted, wont do their jobs, look for every opportunity to be disruptive and would as often as not, side with the enemy in a fight.
There is no value to them.

Registration ended in 1975 under Gerald Ford (may he rest in peace!).
Registration was reinstated in 1980 under Jimmy Carter during the faked “Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan”/Iranian Hostage Crisis and applied only to men born in 1960 or after.
Men born 1957 - 1959 did not have to register.
It was pretty real when Reagan was President.
