Thanks to Second Amendment supporters around the Commonwealth ceaselessly voicing their opposition to a sweeping gun ban, the Senate Judiciary Committee voted 10-5 to reject House Bill 961 on February 17th. Bloomberg’s House majority in the General Assembly is not going to deliver their most coveted agenda item to their billionaire master.
House Bill 961 was a comprehensive ban on many commonly-owned semi-automatic firearms, suppressors, and standard capacity magazines. The original bill sought to impose a licensing and registration scheme for citizens who wish to keep affected firearms they lawfully owned prior to the ban, with felony penalties for noncompliance. It also broadly banned any part that could be used to change a firearm into a banned configuration. While the House Public Safety Committee amended the bill to allow citizens to keep currently owned firearms and suppressors, there was no option for citizens to keep their lawfully acquired magazines with capacities greater than twelve rounds, forcing millions of Virginians to dispose of their property, become a criminal, or surrender them to the government.

Not good enough. The people who started this bill and the public who supported it MUST be punished. We can not continue like this. It must be stopped completely with something that puts the fear of God in the hearts of those who would try again. If no backbone in this matter, they will try until they succeed.

Only federal offices are on the ballot in Virginia this year. The Virginia House of Delegates are up for reelection in 2021 and the Virginia Senate in 2023.
They’ve done more than that. Per American Thinker, the new dems in Virginia have passed dozens of bills in just a few months that took Cali a decade to push through. It’s changing fast in this state.
The population of Northern Virginia is over 3 million, as well as, over one third of the state's vote. Trump lost Northern Virginia by 63-37 points, a huuge 26 point margin.
Since I mix with these people everyday, my guess is the Trump hatred has increased since 2016 since so many here are federal workers or work for federal contractors.

We have a major thing developing with the Chinese money that is beyond politics. That means everyone and everything influenced by this can be and will be cracked down on by the national administration. We don’t need no stinking elections to do what is necessary here.
