It makes sense. However, we are in such an early stage of this that we only “know” a very few things. We’ll know a lot more in a few years. The good news is that most people who get it that are not already past the age of 70 will be just fine. It’s just another disease.
I’ll take it over Polio and all the other diseases we don’t even think about any more.
But yeah, all the stats need to be taken with a grain of salt. However, if I were under 40 and in good health, I’d not even worry about this thing any more than I would worry about the flu. Frankly, I’m 66 and healthy and that is my attitude.
That's why whenever I'm sick I visit my local car mechanic.........He even throws in an oil change for free.
***a Chinese bio weapon?***
In the military, fifty four years ago,we were told that bio-weapons unleashed on an enemy has a nasty tendency to return and infect those who released it.
Chemical weapons, on the other hand, were what was to fear.
If you stay home, you wont get Corona.
And now probably the late night TV idiots will say just what you said.
So, that means how many beds are going to be full when you get sick? Lets hope the is an open bed...because you will be in the ICU, on a vent, for twice as long as the flu.
I cannot imagine they wouldnt just toss that old person out to the street in order to get YOU a bed.
But yeah. Its just the flu, bro.
“....cancel the election and automatically serve for four more years to provide continuity in govt during pandemic.
Pass this idea around and watch the MSM change its tune about the Wuhan Flu.”
If you were to put Obama’s name in there, they would be all for it as the most intelligent thing to do.
Why are you assuming that the intent is to kill people?
You realize that in a combat situation a KIA does not use any immediate resources. A WIA is a significant drain on resources.
If the intent is to ruin an economy, gumming up the works is more more effective and efficient that an outright attack.
Not saying this is a bio weapon. I am explaining how you might use this as one.
But..but..my hub watched on tv as Dr. OZ said people he’s close to who analyzed the virus say it is Definitely NOT a bioweapon...too ragtag a compilation.
Dr.Oz has as much credibility to me as a doctor who knows anything about bio manipulated viruses as Rachel Rey does being a Michilin chef. Which is more credible, this all started from chinese eating bat soup, which I assume they have done for thousands of years, or the out break just coincidentally just happened to breakout in a city where the Chicoms has a biological weapons lab?
If the intent is to ruin an economy, gumming up the works is more more effective and efficient that an outright attack.

If the use of this mostly mild virus was intended to cause real sickness in order to slow an economy then it is a failure. However if the intent was to do no real damage via physical illness but instead instill panic by allying themselves with the media then it has been a rousing success.
You think this is a failure?
An almost complete loss of drug components? Container shipping down to 35% of January? The shut down of public basketball events? (About $1b for each college and NBA?). The shut own of internal transportationin A few days that will be near complete.
Or are you still pounding your chest over Februarys numbers.
If you are, let me know. Then I will know to stop this discussion...because it means you are delusional.
Death rate for the flu is 0.1%
Corona virus is more closely related to the Cold than to the flu.
Rush just pointed out that 300,000 people were hospitalized for the Swine Flu in 2009.
Based on death rates in a communist nation with a substandard health care system and in a nation like Italy, whose population is 10 years older than in the US?
It's probably deadlier than the regular flu. But, there is no accurate measure of the death rate or what it will be in the US.
And, Corona is actually less deadly to children and young adults.
I have no problem predicting nowhere near 20,000 Americans will die because of Corona. It will die out in the summer and a vaccine may be available in the fall.
No one is immune to the flu, either. But, how many people worldwide have died that are under 35?
No, isn't. Confirmed cases and confirmed deaths DOES NOT give one an accurate death rate. There are thousands of mild cases of Corona that have gone unreported.
Further, the death rate in a communist nation or nation with a much older population doesn't equate to what the death rate will be in the US.
Yes, Corona is probably more deadly than the regular flu, although less deadly among children and young adults.
But treating it like Ebola is sheer insanity and that's what's being done.

“Focusing attention away from what has at the LEAST 10x the mortality rate of the flu would be insane.
It is also insane to not believe that their will not be new treatment methods and cures. Three treatment methods are showing great progress (not factored into your rate), Favilavir, Remdesivir, Actemra, REGN3048-3051, blood transfusions from survivors, etc...
Since so much money and dozens of companies are working on cures and vaccines, the survival will soon equal a standard flu.”
Praying for the research you mentioned!
Get back to me when the dead from this virus equals the dead from the common strain circulating this flu season. I think that number stands at between 15 and 20,000 here in America.
As for shutting this event or that event down? Those are decisions made based on what some perceive to be information which threatens our very existence.
