A return to some normalcy amid coronavirus outbreak could be June or July, Murphy says

New Jersey will likely be under strict social-distancing orders to fight the spread of the coronavirus for the next six weeks before restrictions could begin to be pulled back and some semblance of normalcy returns to day-to-day living, Gov. Phil Murphy said Tuesday evening.

Think more like June or July, not May, Murphy said.

“I personally think in the warmer weather, we could begin to find our footing, assuming again that we’ve got the health care infrastructure, especially broad-scale testing, that we’re going to need to give us that confidence,” the governor said during an appearance on MSNBC.

“I think this is a June or July much better reality if we keep doing our part, especially stay at home right now,” he added.

Murphy is out of control and obviously he, Cuomo, Lamont and Wolf will continue to tank this economy to damage Trump. The thing is, nobody here (NJ), seems the least bit mad at this. They are more worried about turning their neighbors in on town Facebook pages than they are about Murphy constantly moving the goalposts. I don’t know how people go 2.5 months without a paycheck anywhere but especially here. Hopefully Trump has some leverage with emergency funds and if other states open, others will follow.

Too much money floating around. States need to submit individual plans to Feds, and adjustments will be made as to when to cut them off. Of course this plays into Nancy’s hand. It’ll have to be optional, and The Fed will have to feed the losers up to the election.

If I were Trump, I’d allow all businesses to open now.

Each business would have have patrons sign a waiver stating:

1. The patron is not sick.
2. The patron accepts all risks with utilizing the goods or services of that business, including any infectious disease contraction, and releases owner from any liability.

This would put the entire responsibility into the hands of the business owner and consumer, and out of the governments hands.

Individual businesses and consumers could then self-quarantine as they choose.

That sucks for the locals. But New Jersey is really no big deal in the economy.

Murphy is power happy trash.

Yes, people in this state are pissed.

Meanwhile, those awaiting “elective” sorcery are at the mercy of the sadistic piece of sh-t.

I would never wish ill upon anyone but this bass tied has it coming in spades.

And Wolf here in PA is going to follow whatever Cuomo wants to do.....these losers will continue to take down these states ..

When Cuomo announced these states had to move in unison, and of course with him at the Helm, I knew instantly we'd be in trouble.

Face it. There will be no “normalcy” until there is a safe and effective vaccine. Will people attend athletic events, go to restaurants, movies and congregate voluntarily in ways of old even if the government “reopens” the economy? People are scared and will not easily resume prior behavior patterns. And yes there are ideologues and politicians who will take advantage to advance their agenda in the “new reality”. Read Orwell and realize that fear is the most potent manipulator that despots have to advance their influence and power.

“..June or July..”

It’s sorta hot in NJ in June and July. Guess what, Bangkok, Thailand has Covid-19 cases; it’s 90 degrees F in January in Bangkok.

This is a trial balloon by Murphy

We need to make ourselves heard to make it clear that this will not fly.

Seriously? You miss Christie? I guess you’re one of the 14% who approved of him as his arse was kicked out the door (lowest approval rating EVER here).

You know what I miss? Not being taxed 26 cents on every gallon of gas because he couldn’t manage our finances. Then there’s the beach chair BS. Closed our beaches and state parks on July 4th! People couldn’t even visit the Statue of Liberty on July 4th! Parks his big butt on the empty beach that no one else could enjoy - I’m so glad he’s gone!

Very true. Would you eat a bag of skittles if you knew three of them were poisonous? Same concept. Only a fool would go out in large crowds while this thing is still trying to find hosts to live in. Nasty nasty death if it catches you, too. You die gasping for breath. Not a good way to go.
