(CNN)President Donald Trump voiced frustration Wednesday at the nation's top infectious disease specialist after he warned a day earlier against reopening schools and businesses too quickly. "I was surprised by his answer, actually," Trump said when asked about Dr. Anthony Fauci's warnings during televised congressional testimony that reopening states too quickly could have dire consequences. "It's just -- to me it's not an acceptable answer, especially when it comes to schools," Trump said

You can smoke cigs every day and not get sick either
agreed. huge value in supplementing our food which is almost completely depleted from proper nutrients and enough of them. In addition to other factors that block our ability to absorb them (and filtered water, which isn’t good).
get your D from the sun not milk. although I like milk and the wicked lefties have worked hard to destroy milk (like beef and everything else we love).
Be sure to take the right form, right amount of mag too or you won’t be able to absorb D (or calcium).
Yes.....but its also ANOTHER Coup Plot to bring down Trumps economy!
**********************************************
Without a doubt. This is just another facet to it!
Raw milk has very little Vitamin D-it is added to processed/pasteurized milk-most healthy nuts prefer raw goat milk, but unless you live in a rural area like this one, it is pretty much unavailable...
Your kidding, right ?
Fauchi is a government academician, therefore his being a leftist Democrat is axiomatic...
“Ah yes, Big Vitamin trying to put poor pharmaceuticals out of business.”
Comprehension is not a strength, eh? The vitamin industry is a multi-billion dollar business - approx. $31 billion in 2019 in the United States. Most the players are small companies ranging from a few million to a few hundred million in market cap. And no, they won’t take over any Pharma. Pharma sales in this country are in the hundred of billions of dollars.
Yes, this thing is going to unravel quickly for the Democrats, once it becomes obvious to the public that the continued shutdown is 100% politically motivated.
And it IS obvious. Only Democrats are calling for extending the shutdown - and they are becoming increasingly nasty about it - Wolf is calling anyone who disagrees cowardly.
This will not end well for the Democrats. But that is small comfort to those losing their livelihoods.
Many of the vitamin companies are
subsidiaries of pharmaceutical-
(e. g. One A Day is Bayer)
We don’t eat out much. we have a lot of vegetables and fruit delivered, I eat steak multiple times a week.
After the service, I played college sports and have stayed in relative shape - at 62, I am still at my college playing weight.
I do smoke down to 1 pack a day from multiple, and I do drink more than the average person.
I don’t have a physical job, but try to remain active. A couple of years ago, my neighbors and I were putting in a fence. The young college boy was having problems using the post hole digger, the adobe type soil is a bitch to dig in the summer. He didn’t have the strength in his body. I got a free fence his dad and I dug all the fence post holes.
I don’t take vitamins or supplements. My first career, after graduate school, I did a post doc and landed a research position in Pharma and I knew people who did absorption studies of supplements and they are not imipressive, so much passes through your system. This was before I turned evil and entered the field of technology.
He can’t fire him now, because it’s just not worth the fall out. He need to just bring other docs with different viewpoints to his briefings and let Fauci stay home. Trump needs to listen to the other docs that are just as qualified as Fauci.
(poor staff work re background digging)
Yes, I agree. Too bad they didn’t do a little more digging first.
I’m lucky enough to live where the free ranged meat is raised and have room to grow an organic garden-I was raised on a ranch, so cities are not places I like at all. I drink wine or beer now and then and some evenings I smoke 1-3 cigarettes after dinner -I was taught by my parents that all things in moderation is good-overindulgence is bad. I weigh the same 105 that I did at 17.
Country kids are good, strong workers as construction helpers-most here are homeschooled, so they are able to work a weekday or two-many of their dads are contractors, too so these kids know what site work is-and most of them can drive a skid loader without running over anyone or anything, too-city kids won’t get their hands dirty like that...
It looks as though even more kids out here will continue to be homeschooled-that is a real silver lining to all this...
Get this.
A doctor speaking to “reopen” supporters in California:
Jeffrey Barke, M.D.-what if the “experts” are wrong?
You should never let a technocrat make public policy.
They’re like hammers - everything they see is a nail to be pounded.
Policy should be made by elected officials who look at the broader picture and consider all the various interests of the people that elected them, not just a single interest. Yes they should consult with experts on the various issues at stake, but the final decision should be theirs.
And depending on how good a decision they make, they will be punished or rewarded at the ballot box.
Fauci is the poster boy representing the best of the ‘Peter Principle’.
It is not his place to influence policy. #firefauci
...vitamins are bull crap. Another multi-billion business built on the back of quacks. Just eat regular food and you would be good.

I used to think that, too, but it does seem that many of us are deficient in Vit D & Vit C. Elderly do not absorb as well as the young from food, either.
Multivitamins may not be that great, but specific supplementation with D & C seems prudent during a viral epidemic.
I’ve also found several enzymes and other herbal preparations as good as or better than OTC remedies and in some instances, helpful for conditions where no OTC meds exist.
