I believe in certain Stand Your Ground laws, a business owner can defend their store.

If a looter breaks into your store and you tell them to get out, and they charge you causing you to be in fear of your life you might have the right to shoot.

A former Marine (yes, there are no former Marines, hah) friend was Reservist during Liberty City riots Miami, FL 1980. USMC unit was on top of an armory (weapons inside) somewhere near the outskirts, and the rioters (dis organized as they were) were marching down toward the building. USMC put a Ma Deuce (50 cal tripod mount) surrounded by sandbags on the roof- Commander gave orders not to load the weapon but make a frequent display of the loaders draped with the ammo belts moving back and forth from out of sight to the weapon— and, to train the weapon back and forth, periodically making the appearance of charging the weapon. They ran like hell the other way, fairly soon— no warning fire needed.

This was under Demonrat Governor Bob Graham— what a jerk. And then he became Senate Intel committee chairman whose actions on 9-11 included breakfast with one of the Saudi helpers of the attackers who was confirmed in phone contact with Mohamed Atta. One more example of demonrat morons.

Be A Rooftop Korean

Excellent commentary from a year ago about Kurt Schlichter’s time in the California National Guard during the Rodney King riots. Very much worth reading given current events.

During the Vietnam War, South Korean units were as tough and professional as any in the United States Army or Marines, and came to be justly feared by the communists. More than 300,000 Korean troops passed through Vietnam at some point, and more than 5,000 were killed.

Korean soldiers were highly motivated. Because of their own struggle with Stalinist North Korea, they hated communists. They were also tough. Each man was trained in the art of tae kwon do, with 30 minutes’ practice forming an integral part of morning physical training. They were also subjected to harsh discipline. Two soldiers who raped a Vietnamese woman were executed before their company.

I was with the 69th Armor of the 4th Inf Division in an operation with the 3rd Bn of the S.Korean Tiger regiment near the Cambodian border. They killed close to 200 VC when the VC launched an all out assault on their night defensive position. I think that they suffered no more than a handful of killed and wounded.

I never saw any finer bunch of highly motivated fighting men during my entire time in Vietnam.

A lot of those “rooftop Koreans” were Korean War and Vietnam vets.

Thank you for your service. The ROKs have come a long way since the Korean War. If the US had adopted ROK rules of engagement, the war would have been over by the time of the Tet Offensive. There would have been no VC formations of any size left to stage the nationwide communist offensive. It would have been the NVA at Khe Sanh and NVA incursions from Cambodia and Laos.

The ROKs don’t have democrats to deal with. Democrats never met a communist they didn’t immediately love.

Thanks.

And the ones that weren’t Korean War and Vietnam vets, had probably at least been through conscription and basic military training. I think SK still has universal conscription because of the NK threat.

They have never met an enemy of America they did not immediately love. Even Hitler was A-OK once Stalin gave his seal of approval. Until Hitler attacked the Soviets.

I worked for Norton tire at the time. Just to show us how stupid they were they burned up 10 million dollars worth of tires. They should've had every car in Liberty city with new white walls😁 After all Norton tire employed a lot of blacks at the main warehouse, when they burned it down, they moved it out west of MIA. Dummies! Do you remember Earls? Guy started at Food Fair grocery as a bagboy, moved up to manager over the years, and when they wanted to sell he bought it. They burnt it down, even my dad was upset as he sold Pillsbury products to him. Just a hard working black man that moved up. Then they cried there was no where to buy groceries 😭

Remember Food Fair from my youth. Only knew later mostly about Coconut Grove which was barricaded from the rioters by Miami PD. The Marine story always remember— implied force of arms controlling some seriously stupid crazed angry people whose leaders tell them-— break your own stuff in revenge. And then think they will have it replaced. Heard it many times.
