It’s all political. The laws they make and enforce have nothing to do with right and wrong. They are to promote a political agenda. Closing this man’s shop is a crime.
She won’t have long to worry about enforcing anymore of her edicts. Recall petitions for her and the AG go out on July 4th with the recall vote Nov. 3.

No, never heard it on the news either. But I DID hear on the 5:00 news last night that she changed her mind about opening hair salons and barber shops, going from a post July 4 date to June 15 in the lower regions of the LP. Apparently she got the news of the MSC decision way before her subjects did.
The last I heard, there is to be a rally on the 4th at the state Capitol where petitions will be distributed. If any Michiganders have heard differently, please post an update to the Michigan board. Thanks!
Sadly, America is almost completely Constitutionally illiterate.
All elected officials swear to defend and protect the constitutions of their state and the federal government, yet this last few months showed that none of them have even bothered to read it.
Check out article 8 from the Maryland Declaration of Rights
Article 8 very clearly states that the Governor does not have any authorization to make law. “the legislative, executive and judicial powers of government ought to be forever separate and distinct and no person exercising powers of one of said departments shall assume or discharge the duties of any other.”
Yet, the legislature has been almost completely silent during this entire time and the governor keeps making these edicts and orders that he actually calls Law.
It’s not law but the herd of nine million sheep willingly go along happy as a pig in —— while their actual civil rights are being grossly violated.
The Church is equally complicit.
Article 36 concerns religious freedom “That as it is the duty of every man to worship God in such manner as he thinks most acceptable to Him, all persons are equally entitled to protection in their religious liberty. wherefore, no person ought by any law to be molested in his person or estate, on account of his religious persuasion, or profession, or for his religious practice”
Oh, the all wise and powerful Governor shut down our churches so we’ll blindly follow the government because they know more than us.

While that is the common sense view, I think it more likely they struck it down because he was denied due process. She pulled his license after hours without even convening a kangaroo court Licensing Board meeting. That's completely dictatorial.
And, she couldn't claim some powers under emergency if, as you point out, she wasn't consistent in using them. It was petty and personal. "How dare he?"

Apparently, just show up at the state Capitol on July 4th—but I would check first, that might be old information — they’re going to be handing out petitions from what I was told a couple of weeks ago. Another thing you might do is join the Facebook page “Committee to Recall Governor Gretchen Whitmer”. I just joined it myself this morning. Supposedly they will post the latest information on the recall. We have 60 days to gather over a million valid signatures.
No surprise. She’s a dictator who cares not about the law.
Imagine what she thinks of the Constitution...
