PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Oregon State Police troopers responding to the ongoing protest-related unrest in Portland have been federally deputized, state police confirm.
State police tell KOIN 6 News they’re working with the U.S. Attorney’s Office to review arrests made by troopers assigned to Portland for potential prosecution. The troopers assigned to Portland have been cross-deputized by the U.S. Marshals.

Falls under a Fed DA now for those arrested by these troopers. That is how the Feds bypass the local DAs and nothing the mayor can do or the governor except to fire all these troopers but then they are still under the purview of the feds.

Yeah, Fed prosecutors can be involved- but it means nothing like idiots think.
Federal charges....means federal prison. Whatever the ‘kids’ were told on legal consequences....will be laid out by the lawyers, and will probably shock folks to a great extent.
Governor Kate tried to save Mayor Wheeler from Trump by negotiating a deal where there Oregon State Police would protect federal property if the federal agents took a lower profile.
Portland Mayor Wheeler blew the deal to the point that the Oregon State Patrol left Wheeler swinging in the wind by leaving Portland to itself. Then the Portland Police were overwhelmed by two sets of counter protesters until someone was killed.
Now there is a huge political backlash among the voters. Mayor Wheeler has pissed off Oregon Governor. She is between a rock and a hard place. So now the Oregon State Patrol will become federal officers. I am sure that did not go down well with the Governor and was even more distasteful to Mayor Wheeler. It is also a thumb in the eye to the Multnomah County DA who refuses to back the police up.
Genius. Just like the national guard who were ordered by the governors of Arkansas in ‘57, and Alabama in ‘64 to block the school entrances. Trump is da man!

Nobody will be rounding up illegals who haven’t broken additional laws (after the initial entrance); our birthrate is so low our elites are determined to keep them here as a population to rule. My state of NJ is filling with them, and as more Americans and their employers flee the high costs, lack of opportunity, and horrible business climate, the elites bring even more in. My town itself would be closing a few public schools if not for the illegals; the government worker caste is actively preventing anyone from enforcing immigration laws. For example, to register for school you must produce proof of residency in the district - but districts are forbidden from requiring proof that you are in this country legally.
Great move. Take it out of the hands of the county DA who was put in office via Soros effort in all states
Then make them NOT illegal or make the rest of us exempt from Federal law, too.
Amnesty is the goal of the elites but politically unacceptable to American voters - so we just have a de facto amnesty instead.
NJ just passed a law allowing illegal aliens to get professional certifications here; I assume they’ll need it as Americans continue fleeing NJ (there would be no “professionals” left). This says all you need to know about the de facto amnesty and sanctuary states...
Nice move, they are now under the direction of the feds. Could be a good way to go, ask for help, come in and deputize law enforcement in the state, no more stand downs, no more rat governor and mayor control
