In 2010, the U.S. Department of Defense found thousands of its computer servers sending military network data to China — the result of code hidden in chips that handled the machines’ startup process.
In 2014, Intel Corp. discovered that an elite Chinese hacking group breached its network through a single server that downloaded malware from a supplier’s update site.
And in 2015, the Federal Bureau of Investigation warned multiple companies that Chinese operatives had concealed an extra chip loaded with backdoor code in one manufacturer's servers.

I keep thinking of the movie “Dragon Day”. The plot is that, one day, China basically called its debt over the US by activating a chip or program which shut down every electronic item in the US. China then took over the government. Invasion immediately followed because the military couldn’t respond. Dictatorial measures soo followed, including making people wear bracelets that couldn’t be removed. It racked you everywhere you went. If you went outside of your ‘area’, it warned you once, then if you continued, it killed you (electric shock or poison injection).

Snowden showed that NSA could mimic Chinese, Russian, North Korean, Iranian hackers so you could not tell the difference—so this story has to be taken with a grain of NSA salt.

Meanwhile, “Navy Patriot”, the ChiComs are heavily allied with your Russian comrades, both economically and militarily, the two staging increasingly elaborate large-scale joint war games since 2005. Both firmly stand by Iran, Venezuela and North Korea. And as I pointed out to you again last week, “Black Lives Matter”, and various other commie front groups, are in this camp as well. I’m sure you’re aware of this? Aren’t you?
My motherboard is a SuperMicro, but purchased after the problem was spotted. They make high quality motherboards, and are Taiwanese. (though source much from Red China, alas, like everybody else).
