Sen. Ted Cruz flew to Cancun, Mexico, with his family this week as Texas dealt with a winter storm that left millions without power, Fox News has confirmed.

Honestly, I expect him to resign over this.
This will soak up all of the cable news and twitter oxygen today. Good going, Ted.
Yawn.
Why?
Is this sarcasm or are you a troll?
Worst disaster in TX history, you should cancel a vacation. This is a top-down massive failure.
Joke post?
Resign for what?
this is the same FOX “news” that serves Romney and Soros
and Bidan and therefore the CCP?
the same FOX ‘news” that threw the ELECTION to Bidan
by falsely calling AZ?
that FOX “news”?
Ted says the right stuff, but in your heart you know he is a little off....this is an example.
no way.
But it will used against him forever..and he might not get reelected.
the campaign ads are being written right now
He deserves to be lambasted for this. Poor judgement
This is tone-deaf optics at its worse. I never liked Cruz much, but wow.
What is he going to do? He’s not the governor or a local official and I doubt pedaling a bicycle to generate power would do much. There’s a lot to criticize politicians over but I do t see this as one of them
It was a holiday weekend. There was no point in cancelling. Why contribute to the power draw in TX?
What was Cruz supposed to do, distribute candles, fill sandbags, or something like that?
I expect governors and presidents to show leadership in a crisis. Legislators usually only get in the way.
Mr January is a troll I’d assume.
Resign. Really? If I’d had a vacation planned, I would have thought it was providence that I had somewhere else to be for a while. Cruz is not responsible for the problems with Texas’ energy problems.
What *should* he have done? He’s a *federal* official, not a state official. He has no authority, no role, nothing to do to fix this issue. He can do as much as you can.
So his presence in Texas would have solved the electrical generation because of idiotic (cash driven) decisions of no large storage of natural gas on generating plant sites? Or pie in the sky solar/wind electrical generation which without TAX subsidies seems to just wither and die?
