George Floyd and the Butterfly Effect: Who would have thought that a fake $20 bill would set the world on fire?
American Thinker ^ | 04/02/2021 | Tim Jones

The Butterfly Effect, simply put, is the proposition that small events can trigger and lead to much larger and significant events. It is derived from the idea of a butterfly flapping its wings and causing a tornado elsewhere in the world.

On Wednesday of this week, the third day of the trial of Derek Chauvin, a store clerk by the name of Christopher Martin, who took the counterfeit twenty-dollar bill George Floyd was using to pay for a pack of cigarettes, testified that he almost paid for it with his own money before changing his mind. This one small decision had an effect on the world: it led to Floyd's arrest, which led to Chauvin putting his knee on Floyd, which led to a video that ended up on the internet, going viral, which led to protests, rioting, and looting, which led to a cultural revolution.

It's incredible to think how that one small and seemingly insignificant decision at a corner convenience store in Minneapolis, Minnesota is impacting the country in such a negative way. The cancel culture this event ignited is unleashing forces on the country never seen before. All of the most powerful institutions are in alignment, from the federal government to the media to the tech giants and other corporate behemoths. It is a dangerous moment because there is no longer a check on their power to put down dissent and opposing points of view.

The fact that Twitter and Facebook kicked a president, ostensibly the most powerful person on the planet, off their platforms demonstrates for all to see that they can literally do anything they want without fear of legal blowback. Big Tech and Big Business have in effect become an extra-legislative body, an unelected branch of government, that is dictating to the country

Most of the world doesn’t know or care about George Floyd. Its America’s own self-delusion and political narcissism on display

Bull crap. If it wasn’t Floyd, it would have been someone else. It’s not a random $20 bill. It’s an entire culture at the root of the problem.

The “narrative” is what set the world on fire. This incident had a good story and great video for a narrative that was already written and in motion.

So, the store clerk caused it all because he didn’t pay for the perp’s smokes but called the cops about the counterfeiter?

WTF?

WTF?

Exactly. Much of the drama we saw in 2020, from Floyd to Covid19, was enhanced and pushed as part of the grand scheme to get rid of President Trump.

If it wasn’t George Floyed it would have been the next one. They were primed and ready.

The Community-Agitator-in-Chief who used to occupy 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue probably thought it could and put it into motion.

It didn’t just happen by accident; the MSM saw another opportunity to push its Big Lie of systemic racism, in order to create the kind of chaos that feeds the Democrat party.

Many blamed the store owner who was assaulted by Michael Brown for Ferguson. If only he had just let him steal and walk away without calling the police the town would not have burned. They seriously said that.

This is what passes for “logic” now in our PC world. The really frightening thing is that so many “highly educated” people are the ones who create the narrative.

Around seven years ago....this restaurant that both Floyd and the cop worked for, got into some investigation over money-laundering. Whole thing blew over, and nothing much occurred.

It just looks like counterfeit bills flowed in, Floyd knew about the deal, and at some point...went from bouncer-status to handling the counterfeit $20s. I think the cop showed up...recognized Floyd, and then asked himself....what the heck is going to happen? Floyd is going to do something stupid and recreate the whole investigation all over again.

Exactly. The fascist left is very good at planning an outrage then waiting for an inconsequential local event to whip their sycophantic followers and the morons in the media into a frenzy of their design. Then of course, the intellectually bereft politicians on both sides jump right in line.

“This is what passes for “logic” now in our PC world.”

Critical thinking skills have been purposely untaught in our pubic schools and colleges for decades. It’s been all leftist indoctrination, and we now see the poisonous results.

If it wasn’t Floyd, it would have been someone else. These groups were ready to go. They just needed the trigger.

The plan was in place before. They were just waiting for the spark to ignite the fire. The response was as planned.
