Lil Loaded, best known for his 2019 viral hit song "6locc 6a6y," has died, according to multiple reports. He was 20.
The Dallas County medical examiner confirmed that the rapper -- whose legal name was Dashawn Maurice Robertson -- died on Monday.
The manner of death has not been disclosed.
Robertson's attorney, Ashkan Mehryari, released a statement to The Dallas Morning News calling the death "very tragic" and adding that it was very unexpected. "He had a very bright and promising music career ahead of him."
Robertson was facing a manslaughter charge in connection to the shooting death of his best friend, 18-year-old Khalil Walker, last year.
Robertson had originally been arrested for murder but was indicted on the lesser count of manslaughter in February. He was out on bond and was scheduled for a court hearing on Tuesday.

Dindu was arrested for murder and indicted for manslaughter yet was out on bail. I guess this was one case where low or no bail for violent offenders actually benefited society.
Who writes this tripe? There are somethings that if ignored that will just die and go away. That's the way anything surround rap should be treated. After all, you can't spell crap without rap.
After a promising young black man working on our production floor was murdered at two am in the parking lot of a bar, I had some discussions with his compatriots. Yes, they knew that playing pool in a black neighborhood bar at two am was dangerous. Their responses roughly boiled down to this
“But, what ya’ gonna do, man? You expected to do certain things, to show yourself, ya’ know? You can’t just go an hide somewhere. You got to be out there where the action is.”
This was a smart young man. Show him something once and, not only did he understand what you showed him, but many of the things that were simply implied. Yet, he was part of a self destructive culture where beating your chest and taking on all comers was a requirement. Think of an unfixed tomcat. He’s a wonderful pet, but he’ll occasionally come home with one eye hanging out of its socket. And, to him, that’s just the way it is.
