Raytheon goes woke: America's second largest defense firm tells staff to 'identify their privilege' and 'give those with marginalized identities the floor during meetings', leaked 'anti-racist' training manual reveals

Raytheon Technologies, the second largest U.S. defense contractor, is asking its employees to 'identify their privilege' and 'develop intersectional allyship' in a 'woke' training course, leaked documents show.

Raytheon CEO Greg Hayes spearheaded the campaign called 'Stronger Together' starting last summer, which was revealed through training documents reported by Chris Rufo, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute, a conservative think-tank.

The documents instruct employees at the weapons-maker to strive for 'equity' over 'equality', and tutor them on 'intersectionality', a world-view that critics say divides people into different categories in a hierarchy of privilege and oppression based on race, gender, sexual identity, and other factors.

If I were at these meetings, and finally permitted to speak, I would simply tell them that I know my place and my esteemed colleagues might have something to say later in the year.

So, I’ll wait.

Then I’d shut up.

........I think the “giving the floor” attitude in “meetings” is precisely what got us conservatives in the jam we are in. We need to be LONG and LOUD on the floor and TO HELL with all THE LEFT’s theories about race or anything else! Raytheon’s management should be fired.

Interesting. Raytheon used to be one of the most conservative large companies. Apparently the wokes decided to change this.

I did 35 at Raytheon, retired in 2018, none too soon. Done some contracting since. Got out because I was bored out of my mind, but this kind of vibe was in the breeze at the time.

I will point to the marginalized person in the room and say, “for the sake of equity, I prefer to have [fill in name] explain the use of timed waits to prevent mutex deadlocks in our multi-threaded design.”

Why is nobody suing Raytheon, Coke, etc for violating civil rights with this crap?

I’d rather they resolve the potential for a mutex deadlock.

I was always taught you need to earn respect. Its not given. You get the benefit of the doubt from me in the meantime until you do something that improves things or tunes me out. Be a good human and if you treat others with the respect theyve earned, they will return it.

The stupids running these outfits mandate this training to diminish federal or state and local trouble or problems with outside agitators or tort lawyers and they hire people to do seminars and training and enlightenment I think not fully realizing the radicals they are hiring or thinking it’s somehow innocuous because if you’re at the top it doesn’t affect you as much

This shit started with the civil rights legislation so many here and their educators in talk radio always wish to take credit for

Legislation liberal and moderate Republicans and Democrats worked together to pass over the opposition of conservatives in both parties and folks like Magnus and Goldwater and Buckley.....and so on

Think about that next time

Why don’t they just go all the way, turn over their Planning and Development, and production lines to those with marginal ideas and talent.

I’m a White Southern heterosexual populist male. That is my identity. That clearly places me in a marginalized group.

When I graduated college in the 80’s I went to work for a Fortune 150 electronics component manufacturing firm with a substantial portion of their business in military, aerospace and automotive sectors. The company’s president was an engineer - a serious one. He held tens of patents that lined his office wall. The corporate culture was hard-core. Ideas and facts mattered. While not “mean”, if you ever spoke a weak-minded thought in a meeting, you would be torn to shreds. There was constant competition. By the mid-90’s all that was mostly gone. The company company was broken up and sold off. It’s mostly American manufacturing facilities where were shuttered and offshored. I left in the early 90’s to work for myself when I saw the writing on the wall. Somehow I think it was my generation (tail-end of baby boomers) that started all this crap and it has only accelerated since.

Liberal cities Waltham Mass and Tucson AZ, the homes of Raytheon, both subscribe to woke theology.

Well... along with mouthing-off in meetings, comes the responsibility for what comes OUT of your mouth! It’s easy for that kind of person to write a check with their mouth that their a#@ can’t cash!!

People wholly UNUSED to taking responsibility for themselves may like to re consider a BS protocol that would put them in the position of having to put up … or STFU! Making a public show of just how stupid you are will not enhance your career opportunities 😁

Oh look !

Another group
oppressing people

under the guise of antioppresion.

Aka

Racists calling others racist.

I think I see a pattern here.

No one can ask questions in these meetings.

People are not marginalized as an action. Marginalization is a natural process of serious people naturally ignoring those that bring little to nothing to the table so as not to waste precious time. It is like a bunch of engineers ignoring a gaggle of millennial climate change activists who have zero background in engineering, mathematics, or real science.
