Food shortages were reported to be spiking across the country Tuesday as President Joe Biden struggles to resolve the supply chain crises crippling the nation.
“People are hoarding [food],” CEO and founder of Saffron Road, a producer of frozen and shelf-stable meals, Adnan Durrani told the Seattle Times. “What I think you’ll see over the next six months, all prices will go higher.”

Agree completely!
I don’t buy shopping carts full of stuff any time I go shopping, especially at ONE place. I go to several different stores and get a little extra at each store so that over all, I do stock up, but it’s not noticeable.
Plus, it happens when there is plenty on the shelves. I am not stripping the shelves bare so that no one else can get anything.
One man’s *hoarding* is another man’s *prepping*.
It just depends on perspective. The guy who doesn’t prep is going to call it hoarding.
It’s not funny either.
Anyone who thinks they can depend on coming around to help themselves to my supplies is in for a surprise.
I didn’t prep for them and it’s not theirs to take.
I'd call that guy a thinking man.
asswipes
What do you call people who don't?

People who prepare don’t hoard. Hoarders are those who rush out and panic buy. Buying too much of some items and not enough of other items. Prepared people don’t panic buy. Prepared people keep track of how much they use over a period of time, maintain an inventory of what they have in stock and an up to date list of what they need to replenish that stock.
He was joking. He sold them their guns and ammo and he knew they were quite well armed. Very well armed indeed. He just was a guy who liked to stir the pot.
“What’s next? Blame the hoarders (i.e. people who prepare).”
Yes. And after that confiscation.
It’s the Kulaks. They’re hiding all the food. Wreckers and saboteurs, comrades! We must be vigilant!
I stocked up before ammo prices got stupid shortly after the kenyan usurper was erected. Was a good move.
That said, I picked up another 300 5.56mm and 100 .45acp at fire sale prices a couple days ago. Buddy of mine needed some quick cash and I happened to have some.
It’s going to be similar to The Omega Man https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Omega_Man
I think you’re right.....there is a difference. Just like I plan for more groceries over the winter so I don’t have to go out weekly in bad weather if I get stuck in.
I’ve been adding more over the summer because not knowing what Biden would do and if or not he’d shut things down again.
The Omega Man (stylized as The Ωmega Man) is a 1971 American post-apocalyptic action film[3] directed by Boris Sagal and starring Charlton Heston as a survivor of a global pandemic.
“I didn’t prep for them and it’s not theirs to take.”
My immediate prepping goal is to provide long term for my wife and I so that we don’t compete with neighbors and others for scarce resources. My long term prepping goal is to be able to supplement the needs of my extended family, 13 of whom live within walking distance from my home, and a next door neighbor and his family.
If the feds wanted it, they could run roughshod over CA trucking laws because the laws hampered interstate commerce.
This is ultimately a leftist move to take down the country as we live in the FOURTH term of Obama presidency.
“Hoarders” is what the Commies call anyone who has anything—before they take it and shoot you.
When they start talking about “hoarders”, that is what they are talking about...
What kind of freeze dryer did you get?
Good job.
Do you have a neighbor like Steve?
5.56mm

I keep on hand a minimum of 45 days of supplies and I’m working on increasing that to 60 days. Eventually, I’d like to hit the 6 month target.
I’m probably at three months.....and that’s not stretching it. Still I keep adding and glad I can store it.
