Comrades, Tucker Carlson’s opening monologue outlined the insanity of our current situation tonight. Washington DC and the media echo chamber all agree that Ukraine is the most important shiny thing everyone should pay attention to... and if you don’t, you are a Russian agent...

I am outraged that many - even here - would align with leftists on anything, let alone provocations that will lead directly to war over POS Ukraine, or that such a position hamstrings future policy on Mexico as it devolves into a failed state.

--- "If you want to post about the southern border then you can post a thread about that?"

The topic is indeed about borders. There as here. To attempt to limit a debate does not advance any discussion. It is also about borders such as those between liberty and enslavement, about fiscal sense versus the massive amounts of debt as represented by the US Fed, and across a border, the European Central Bank. And the larger topic is about the border which separates free speech from denial of free speech.

In the end, it is about the border between "Schein und Sein." Between appearance and reality.

Borders, like elections and politics, have consequences, as the SPD and Green spend more militarily what the CDU did not. This the discussion is also about the borderland between war and peace.

--- "If that is the case Zelenskyy must be a Putin stooge. Making the same suggestion is why I'm labeled a Putin stooge."

The many attempts on Free Republic threads as in America's idiotic news media to make a dualistic choice is telling. That there might be three or more choices and perspectives annoys those who would stampede a people in one of two directions. Sometimes not playing in the dualism is what most annoys those who would steer, lead, rule.

And of course, dear stooge to some, there were THREE Stooges, so -- more than two.

Putins will insist on limited military in Ukraine no doubt. Zelensky foolishly believes he’s in a favorable position to make demands - he’s actually not.

I think Putin will spare Kiev as he wants a functioning government body still operating in Ukraine. ....with the least re-build necessary infastructure wise.

Typical red herring post. And when given the chance to post on a thread that looks at such a thing, suddenly we find silence on the subject.

Who has the leverage?

You can come in...

...but you can’t leave.

Putin’s exit will be a fiasco.

And not a single one of them has volunteered to actually fight rather than flap their mouths off.

There should be a Freeper prize to the first who takes on Putin's homeys mano a mano.

It will go unclaimed.

Cowardice in service to principle is a sure sign of a scoggin.

The US propaganda machine becomes unhinged when any entity calls out their lies… from Putin to Carlson. This is dangerous to truth tellers but one can’t stop telling the truth under threat of imprisonment or the lies win.

Absolutely true. Neither country was interested in going to war. Yet every day there was Biden, in one way or another, poking the bear and getting the ball rolling.

Maybe he thought that his approval ratings would increase, as that does happen sometimes with war-time presidents. Maybe he thought it would take the focus off of his abysmal failure as PINO. Maybe both.

It did pretty much cure Covid, though.

“To attempt to limit a debate does not advance any discussion.”

Agree. Sadly, I’ve seen an uptick in that mindset lately, i. e., people being scolded for going “off topic” on threads when a poster disagrees with another.

A lot can be learned by other points of view, and others’ observations.

George Soros asking everyone to support Ukraine, as if he give’s a rat’s ass about anyone or anything but himself.

The “war” is subterfuge for what the NWO is about to unleash on the world.

Trump supports Ukraine, so I guess he's now NWO. The whole world has lined up against the invasion. Why don't you list who supports Putin.

Putins will insist on limited military in Ukraine no doubt.

Back in January, the U.S. and NATO already put on the table with Russia limiting troops and missiles in Ukraine. Russia rejected that back then. And that's because the alleged "threat" from Ukraine is just Russian propaganda in the first place. What they really want is the freedom to threaten/intimidate Ukraine so they can run it as a puppet state, and they can't do that once it is under a NATO defensive umbrella.

That's why they reject the entire concept of Ukraine getting security guarantees from anyone, even if there aren't any allied troops actually in Ukraine at all.

That's why Ukraine has to keep fighting. Because if they don't, they become a Russian puppet state.

You have the most evil people on the face of the earth supporting Ukraine.

That makes me support Putin. Putin and Orban were the two European leaders still fighting for western civilization.
