Nearly two years after Seattle led the way in defunding the police, the Washington city’s force is so understaffed it did not assign a detective to investigate a single case of a sex assault on an adult last month, according to a report.
The depleted department now only has four detectives in the squad handling sex assaults, nearly all dedicated to child abuse cases, local NPR station KUOW revealed.

Send the social workers out to investigate, charge if guilty and then arrest the sexual assaulters.
So....this is what the people of Seattle wanted.
The worst part about this is that the wealthy ones or the ones that work from home and can work from anywhere, can pack their stuff and move. And, because of that, as well know, they just go and destroy the next place. Like Boise, Bozeman, Whitefish, Kalispell, Atlanta, Austin, Nashville, etc etc etc.
I wonder how many mortgage defaults there are, where they’re getting into a home someplace else and just walking away from what they have/had in Seattle.
Wouldn’t make any difference if they caught them.
The judge would just put an ankle bracelet on them and turn the loose again.
I never saw this coming.
Clearly, somehow, racism and misogyny are at the root of this “problem.”

This was in response to defund, BLM and covid lay offs.

Damn! So unexpected. This was impossible to foresee.
Of course, this is the Dems dream…a totally lawless America where criminals run rampant and free and the politicians get to say “we are fighting crime! We put up cameras! We hired social workers!”
And there is no quick fix for that problem. It takes a long time, and a lot of money to hire a cop, and train him/her. Plus, cops don’t really become proficient until they have 3-5 years on the job. They will continue to lose experienced officers, and I can’t imagine any officer leaving a red state to take a job in that mess.
Liberals are overjoyed. Fee and easy sex (for them) is their main goal. Sick perverts all.
