According to the U.S. Treasury Department, illegal aliens are bilking the federal government for billions because they are filing fraudulent returns, and the sum is much higher than even a top group opposed to illegal immigration has estimated. The Treasury reported in July that the Internal Revenue Service coughed up $4.2 billion in child tax credits for illegal aliens in 2010. Given how nasty the IRS gets with taxpayers who err even honestly on their taxes, or those who do not err at all, observers note that the agency is rather insouciant about the indirect subsidy to those who aren’t...

During a hearing on the DREAM Act today, Sen. John Cornyn confronted Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano about whether her agency directed its attorneys to dismiss the deportation cases of illegal immigrants who had been convicted of crimes. The exchange was prompted by a Houston Chronicle investigation yesterday, which revealed that DHS’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials encouraged attorneys to seek dismissals for dozens of illegal immigrants who had been convicted of criminal acts ranging from sexual assault, kidnapping, assault, theft, drug dealing and DUIs. “In 2010, I wrote you a letter and asked you for details with...

CHICAGO (CBS) – Cook County sheriff’s officials have found bodies stacked on top of each other – some buried eight at a time — at a south suburban cemetery. As CBS 2’s Susanna Song reports, Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart says Homewood Memorial Gardens, at 600 Ridge Rd. in Homewood, desecrated the bodies of people who couldn’t afford to purchase burial plots.

The gruesome case of a man who was stabbed and beheaded in a suburban Phoenix apartment has police investigating whether the killing is potentially the most extreme example of Mexican drug cartel violence spilling over the border. Martin Alejandro Cota-Monroy's body was found Oct. 10 in a Chandler apartment -- his severed head a couple feet away. One man suspected in the killing has been arrested, and a manhunt is under way for three others. Detectives are focused on whether the men belong to a Mexican drug cartel, and they suspect that Cota-Monroy's killing was punishment for stealing drugs. The...

There are more than enough fugitive illegal aliens terrorizing us to populate a midsize American city. These skunks have already been taken into custody, brought before a judge and ordered into a process designed to end in their deportation. If we had a sane policy toward securing our borders by now most if not all of them would be gone. Unfortunately our system is not geared toward kicking these criminals out. It is actually a fraudulent scheme to build Democrat Party registration ranks, because incredibly after their initial court appearances our system releases illegal aliens on the strength of their...

Documentary also uncovers alarming link between illegal aliens and radical Islamists. BY ANITA CRANE Tens of thousands of convicted felons, including murderers and sex offenders, regularly are breaching the United States national boundary along just one section of the shared line with Mexico, according to a revealing new documentary called "Southern Exposure: Battle for the Border." Eyefull Video Productions, located in the migration hotbed of Tucson, Ariz., has produced a made-for-TV special about the U.S./Mexico border crisis. It suggests that the invading hordes also may have an agenda of damage to the U.S. far beyond ordinary crime such as robbery,...

The Pew Hispanic Center released a sobering report this week reminding us about the bleak education outlook for the nation's largest minority group. The most worrisome stat? More than half of all foreign-born Latino adults in the U.S. are high school drop-outs. That's compared with 25 percent of native-born Hispanics. The implications of this trend are huge for a host of socio-economic reasons. But one of the most significant? It could lead to a more illiterate and ill-equipped workforce that's precisely what an information and technologically driven economy doesn't need.

Illegal immigration, especially from Mexico is once again a huge issue in the United States. It is an issue that could provoke violence from both sides and has the potential to cause major social disruption if President Barack Obama presses forward with plans to grant amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants this year. Like most radical social movements in the United States, the "immigrant rights" was initiated (and is maintained) by communist and socialist forces. Communist Party and Democratic Socialists of America member David Bacon is a leading immigration rights activist. He made an interesting admission in an article published...

The Inland area had the biggest growth in Latino population of any metropolitan area in the U.S. in the 2000s and had one of the biggest losses of white, non-Hispanic residents, a new report found. The study, released Saturday by the Brookings Institution, in Washington, D.C., also concluded that the region had one of the least-educated work forces in the nation, at a time when an increasing number of jobs require a college degree. The report compared the nation's 100 largest metropolitan areas between 2000 and 2008. Most data were from the U.S. Census Bureau's annual survey of 3 million...

On Wednesday, a Mexican flag meant to celebrate Cinco de Mayo went missing from Klein Collins High School in Spring. Administrators later learned a student tore it down and threw it in the trash. Then sophomore Nick Morris went on a local conservative talk radio show to complain he had been suspended. Now, the boy's interview with KTRH host Michael Berry has gone viral and inflamed conservatives. Frazzled high school administrators are struggling to keep up with an onslaught of angry e-mails and phone calls complaining that the school is partial to Mexico.

Please watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0LHRzxgAxRo Stark contrast between radical immigration rally and Tea Party. A must see, communist propaganda passed around. Where is the outrage by the MSM about these rallies? May 02, 2010 — There was an immigration protest in Downtown Atlanta which revealed some shocking discoveries. The speakers spoke almost entirely in Spanish, but a few speakers spoke in English and called for "black, brown, and progressive whites" to stand together and fight the "culture that opposes all things public" A Democrat GA State Representative shamelessly called on the crowd (by definition filled with illegal immigrants), to register...

THE signing into law of America's toughest bill on illegal immigration has led to immediate protests, reignited the divisive battle over immigration reform and angered the US President. Even before Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed the bill - aimed at identifying, prosecuting and deporting illegal immigrants - President Barack Obama strongly criticised it. Speaking at a naturalisation ceremony for 24 active-duty service members in Washington's Rose Garden, he called for a federal overhaul of immigration laws, which congressional leaders signalled they were preparing to take up soon, to avoid ''irresponsibility by others''. He said the Arizona law, enacted on Friday...

One of the staunchest critics of President Obama in Congress says the president's agenda is clearly to increase the size of the dependency class in order to assure perpetual Democratic control of the country. Congressman Steve King (R-Iowa) is one of several members of Congress who have introduced legislation to repeal the recent healthcare reform package -- or what has come to be known as "ObamaCare." He believes the legislation's main objective is to expand the Democratic power base. "ObamaCare is, in a large part, about expanding the existing dependency class so that the people [who] support and promote it...

The Labor Department is encouraging low-wage and immigrant workers to turn in employers who are shortchanging their pay, as part of an expanding effort to enforce wage and hour rules. Labor Secretary Hilda Solis launched a campaign last week called "We Can Help," asking workers in industries from construction to food services to notify the agency of suspected wage and hour violations. The agency is also relying on tips from worker advocacy groups, widening efforts by the Obama administration to enlist activist groups to help with enforcement in a range of sectors from toy safety to distracted driving. However, business...

A former member of Congress says last weekend's shooting death of an Arizona rancher on his own land is what will happen more and more unless America takes back its own borders ... "I believe this, Every single person who has worked so hard to keep those borders open, the president, in Congress and at every level of government – these people have blood on their hands." "We will suffer, and people will die," he said. Vision America said amnesty is critical to the Obama administration, because the "left is desperately in need of new voters who will march in...

BOHICA : HERE IT COMERS AGAIN! Healthcare was just the beginning of our Second Revolution/Civil War. A Heritage Foundation report sets the costs of granting amnesty to millions of aliens illegally in our country at $999 billion. Yet enforcement of existing immigration laws which would spur self deportations could be accomplished for “only” $14 billion. Amnesty will cost about 70 times as much as getting tough and slamming shut our border gates. Myths about the “benefits” of amnesty 1) Across the board amnesty for illegals will boost tax revenues because these workers will become taxpayers who will begin to pay...

Salute to my fellow American Patriots! We suffered a blow yesterday in the battle for America's future. The Demons have succesfully weasled their Communist health policy without regard to their political future. They don't have to care! Want to know why? Amnesty This is going to be the most crucial battle we will have to fight. If the Demons get Amnesty through before November elections, they will have won it all. Millions of illegal aliens (seeking free healthcare, education, and all kinds of fantastic freebies) will have the right to vote, and who are they gonna vote for? We have...

Reporting from Los Angeles and Washington Tens of thousands of people began assembling in Washington on Sunday to march for immigration reform, a politically charged issue that has been pushed to a back burner by the intense focus on healthcare. In a tactic that reflects the current economy, march organizers have tried to cast the immigration debate as part of economic recovery. "What's important today is that jobs and immigration go hand in hand," Marc Morial of the National Urban League said on Sunday in a television interview. "When you've got millions of undocumented workers working off the books, that...

Preoccupied with healthcare and expanding government, Obama is still working full throttle to shove through an immigration reform bill prior to the midterm elections. To appease the influential La Raza movement, Obama met privately with his staff this week to devise a measure that will grant United States citizenship to the country's estimated 11 million illegal immigrants.

Despite steep odds, the White House has discussed prospects for reviving a major overhaul of the nation's immigration laws, a commitment that President Obama has postponed once already. Obama took up the issue privately with his staff Monday in a bid to advance a bill through Congress before lawmakers become too distracted by approaching midterm elections. In the session, Obama and members of his Domestic Policy Council outlined ways to resuscitate the effort in a White House meeting with two senators -- Democrat Charles E. Schumer of New York and Republican Lindsey Graham of South Carolina -- who have...

Zogby Poll: DC Lobbyists Often Out of Step with Constituencies WASHINGTON (February 3, 2010) - A new Zogby poll of senior executives, business owners, and members of union households finds that each of these groups thinks the best way to deal with illegal immigrants in the country is to enforce the law and cause them to return home. This is in stark contrast to lobbyists for large companies, such as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which argue for legalization. The findings of the survey are consistent with surveys done by the National Federation of Independent Business, which represents small enterprises,...

For the second time to three days, the Washington Post has an op-ed calling on us to help Haiti by reducing the number of Haitians living there. Elliott Abrams' piece, which I critiqued here on Friday, was wrongheaded in calling for substantial increases in Haitian immigration but at least it didn't reject American sovereignty. On the other hand, this most recent piece, by tranzi economist Michael Clemens at the Center for Global Development, is remarkable as an example of forthright post-Americanism. For instance: "We do know, however, why many individual Haitians are poor. For a large number, there is a...

Around 1,000 pregnant women who are illegal immigrants will no longer receive prenatal services through the federal-state Medicaid program, beginning in early spring, according to Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services leaders. The prenatal care issue creates a conflict between two state goals: On the immigration front, senators have wanted to make certain that illegal immigrants do not get any public benefits, passing strong anti-immigration legislation (LB403) last year. Because of the strong pro-life sentiment, Nebraska also has provided Medicaid coverage for all pregnant women, regardless of their immigration status. The assumption is that the prenatal coverage also is...

Miami — More than 100 Haitians crammed inside a Catholic church Tuesday to ask questions about a federal government designation that will allow possibly hundreds of thousands of illegal Haitian immigrants to work in the U.S. and send money home during the next 18 months. Only those in the U.S. before the earthquake hit their Caribbean homeland a week ago...

The Obama administration's decision to allow illegal immigrants from Haiti to stay in the United States ... has prompted complaints among immigration policy critics that the temporary "timeout" will become permanent. ....are concerned that the 18-month window will be extended, as it often is for immigrants from other countries. It has been quite a strange couple of weeks since I decided to commission a Zogby poll of Obama voters. I chose to do this at great personal expense to determine whether interviews I did on Election Day (for a forthcoming documentary I am producing on the media coverage of the election) were indeed representative of the larger population. In a nutshell, here’s what happened next: I suddenly become a favorite target of the Internet’s left-wing attack machine. Zogby was forced to defend the poll and two days later, his organization partially abandoned it. The video of Obama voters trying...

President George W. Bush has undertaken the onerous task of converting Muslim dictatorships and theocracies in the Middle East into enlightened democracies. The president apparently believes that America can, and should, determine the form of government that more than a billion Muslims live under. But while our commander-in-chief is downright eager to impose American ideology on Muslims in nations thousands of miles removed from our shores, he is downright squeamish when it comes to defending America’s own borders and enforcing our immigration laws. Most distressing is Bush’s assertion that deportation of millions of illegal aliens is “impossible.” How in the...

The good news about nuclear destruction Posted: August 24, 20061:00 a.m. Eastern By Shane Connor What possible good news could there ever be about nuclear destruction coming to America, whether it is dirty bombs, terrorist nukes or ICBMs from afar? In a word, they are all survivable for the vast majority of American families, if they know what to do beforehand and have made even the most modest preparations. Tragically, though, most Americans today won't give much credence to this good news, much less seek out such vital life-saving instruction, as they have been jaded by our culture's pervasive myths...

Zogby Poll: Most Americans Can Name Three Stooges, But Not Three Branches of Gov't Tuesday, August 15, 2006 By Brit Hume A recent poll found that nearly three-quarters of those asked could name each of the Three Stooges — Larry, Curly and Moe — but only 42 percent were able to name the legislative, executive and judicial branches of government. That's according to a new Zogby poll in which 77 percent of Americans could name two of the seven dwarfs, while just 24 percent knew two of the nine Supreme Court justices. And while 57 percent of Americans could name...

WASHINGTON (AFP) - Some 30 percent of Americans cannot say in what year the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks against New York's World Trade Center and the Pentagon in Washington took place, according to a poll published in the Washington Post newspaper. Democrat voters low on enthusiasm By Ralph Z. Hallow THE WASHINGTON TIMES February 23, 2006 Democrats, after 11 years as the minority party in Congress, still can't get it right with their own voters, a poll shows. By objecting to virtually every initiative and proposal of the Bush administration and congressional Republican majority, Democrats are undermining their party's chances of regaining the majority this fall, the John Zogby poll of 1,039 likely voters suggests. While House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of California, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada and other visible Democrats in Washington pick fights with Republicans, the...

With Californians voting overwhelmingly to borrow $3 billion to begin cloning for stem-cell research, it's just a short leap to the suggestions of an Indian scientist who proposes breeding headless humans to be used for harvesting organs and other forms of commercial exploitation. "Science is moving at such a fast pace that scientists have proven that they can create headless mice through removal of genes in embryo...

In 2002, the Boston Globe uncovered a scandal of international proportions when it began running a series of investigative reports detailing dozens of cases in which Catholic priests had sexually abused scores of children. By year's end, some 1,200 priests had been accused of abuse nationwide, the New York Times reported, in an investigative report of its own. In the ensuing maelstrom, five U.S. prelates resigned. An independent voter and Catholic school teacher, Grunklee complains that President Bush "lied to get us into Iraq," that he is "allowing too much corruption," that he is "taking care of the top one or two percent" of rich people at the expense of everyone else, that his tax cuts have not stoked the economy, and that his attorney general, John Ashcroft, is "crushing the Constitution." Grunklee's preferred candidate for 2004? President Bush....
