On the Lars Larsson show he said that cars and trucks built before 2007 would have problems running 15% alcohol. Many people still drive 220 year old cars. This new blend will ruin their engines...but maybe that’s the point. They can trade in their 1998 Corolla for a Tesla.
“...ethanol has a higher octane offsetting loss a little.”
I suspect the gasoline refined to be mixed with ethanol will have its native octane reduced to the point where the add of ethanol will bring it up to the pump sticker promise.

This tells you how to take ethanol from petrol. Yes it will cost money because you lose 15% of your fuel but it’s better than buying a new lawnmower.
With inflation the way it is I don’t want to even look at the price of a new mower.
Food prices are at record highs - the solution is to burn more food!
Big boost to subsidies. The fact that it takes more energy to produce ethanol than it produces is irrelevant when Washington and the leeches consider all that money from subsidies.
Cash for Clunkers, without giving you the cash.
Just another kickback to the ethanol and corn producers. Nothing more.
QUESTION:
Will the use of fuels containing ethanol void my engine warranty?
ANSWER:
Fuels containing up to 10 percent ethanol are considered acceptable for use in Mercury engines. Fuels containing higher levels of ethanol are not considered acceptable for use, and the use of fuels containing ethanol higher than 10 percent can void the warranty.
E10 versus non-ethanol:
Non-ethanol 30 mpg
E10: 29 mpg
What I like mainly about solar power and an EV is it puts my power literally in my hands to control. Natural gas and oil are way more efficient and dependable than solar and batteries. But I can't drill and process my own natural gas and oil to help me bypass the Dims and their bureaucracies to keep my energy costs from growing faster than Brandon fills his diaper. However, I can capture power with my own solar panels and optimize a system specifically for my needs to make it efficient for me so that it's financially sound and pays for itself in about 10 years.
It's not perfect ... I still depend on fossil fuels and hope the Dims don't mess that up trying to make us repent from our cow farting sins. But at least for now I produce 56% of all the power I consume in my all-electric two-story home. With the solar upgrade and EV I'm looking at buying I'll do 90% of the power I consume...including powering the EV to drive ~200 miles per week.
As efficient as using fossil fuels only if Trump was running the country? Nope. But Trump ain't running the country. Even if he gets back in it's just 4 years before he's replaced by another Dim like Brandon or Hussein or a Dim-wanna-be Republican like Bush or McCain. At least with solar I have a fixed cost -- I know what I already paid for.
Please, Mr. President, feel free to destroy my vehicle. /sarc
H2o blend coming soon.
Food in exchange for fuel.
Fantastic!
“This tells you how to take ethanol from petrol. Yes it will cost money because you lose 15% of your fuel but it’s better than buying a new lawnmower.”
How do you lose 15% of your fuel?
What does it have to do with a lawnmower?
Then....you can buy an EV.
Fantastic.
Small engines cannot run on E-15 & using it will void warranties.
Millions of lawn mowers-—blowers-—trimmers—chain saws-—Fireghters of forest fires will be delighted...NOT..
Also motorcycles....
With the price of fuel, many are riding motorcycles if they have them.
The Obama Regime continues to Fundamentally Transform America.
“On the Lars Larsson show he said that cars and trucks built before 2007 would have problems running 15% alcohol.”
Studies on cars back to model year 1995 show no difference between E10 and E15.
No ethanol in small engines. Better gas mileage comes by not using ethanol.
