HOUSTON — A man disguised in scrubs died after being shot during an attempted home invasion, according to the Houston Police Department.

The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 12500 block of Cooperstown Drive in southeast Houston.

Police said an older woman reported hearing a knock at her door when she saw the man dressed to look like a nurse or home health care worker on her porch.

Police said he tried to use that look to get in the home, instead of forcing entry.

When the disguise didn't work on a woman inside the home, she called her son for help, according to police.

The son told officers he rushed home and found by that time he arrived, the man had broken in the door.

Story doesn’t indicate whether the mother or the son called 911 or the police. But if they did, did the son beat the police to his mother’s home? If so, this case could be a poster child for the second amendment supporters . . .

The son shot the intruder which seems to indicate that the police arrived after the incident.

The story is a little garbled The son told officers he rushed home and found by that time he arrived, the man had broken in the door.

HPD said the son shot and killed the intruder as he was trying to breaking into their house.

If the man had broken in the door, why wasn’t he already in the house?

It turned out for the better. The invader chose death from the moment that he decided to break into someone’s home.

Nuts. Likely a druggie trying to steal old person's pain medicine. No mention of what he looked like, or what his name was.

My house was broken into several years ago on Thanksgiving when I was 20 minutes away at my daughters house. ATT called me and said a sensor was going off. I was having trouble with one sensor on my shop giving false alarms that week.

When I mentioned that she said no, your living room motion sensor was activated and the front door was open. Call the sheriff.

Me and my grandson in law who was at the time what is called an “operator” and had just gotten back from Afghanistan, jumped into my truck and off we went. I drove over the speed limit getting there, but not much faster than I normally drive. Probably 17 minutes.

When we got there we swept the house and was looking at my shop when the sheriff rolled in. When he saw we were both armed, holstered of course, it made him check us out, after all he didn’t know who we were at a crime scene he’d been summoned to.

The guy hit 5 homes out in the area that day. Heroin addict who had just been released that week from jail. Now, with all street drugs containing Fentanyl, people are not safe. That criminal hit homes that the owners were away, today you’ll be more likely to have what happened to this lady in the article than my experience.

Remember, when seconds matter, the police are minutes away. Follow my tagline, the only guarantee of personal safety.

With HPD being run the way that it is, I would think that the son beat them to the scene.

There are some states where you should not try a home invasion.

The language is bad and I will give him or her slack for that.

But the basics of who, what, when, why, and where are missing or tortured. The ability to tell a story in a logical progression from A to B to C is missing.

Sadly, it’s the norm in most “reporting” these days.

Nuts.

Nuts is right. When the cops tell us it must be random it means they haven't yet figured out a motive, or knowing full well what the motive was they are too woke/Politically Correct to say it out loud, mostly the latter.

“word salad”

SALAD (all caps) is the name of an immigration Spanish-language group that shuns assimilation into the USA. They say it is healthier to have individual-interest groups scattered throughout US society. (Like a salad).

While tolerating Open Borders, we can expect more home invasions, more squatters, more jumbled language and more drug-crazed activities among “immigrants” and our naïve native youth.

Well never be the same homogenous community we once were.

Sad...
