Why Greens Can't Keep Angry Farmers Down on the Farm, in the Netherlands or Globally

ALMERE, Netherlands — Farmers in the Netherlands reduced nitrogen pollution by nearly 70% through a voluntary system. But the government says that is not enough and is demanding that they cut pollution by another 50% by 2030.

Tweede Kamer Der Staten-Generaal Caroline van der Plas, pro-farmer Dutch lawmaker: “Why would you buy out farmers or reduce livestock when you have the possibility to invest in innovation?” Tweede Kamer Der Staten-Generaal By the Dutch government’s own estimates, 11,200 farms out of the roughly 35,000 dedicated to dairy and livestock would have to close under its policies; 17,600 farmers would have to reduce livestock; and total livestock would need to be reduced by one-half to one-third. The Dutch government has demanded that animal farming stop entirely in many places. Of the over $25.7 billion the government has set aside to reduce pollution, just $1 billion is for technological innovation, with most of the rest for buying out farmers.

This effort has sparked a fierce backlash among Dutch farmers, who argue that the government seems more interested in reducing animal agriculture than in finding solutions that protect the food supply and their livelihoods.

WOW! Good on you FRiends. No wonder my kin folks left there in the 1630s. Different basic reason at the time but still the overlords wish to control every aspect of peoples lives. Guess who won't be hungry and who will. Same folks that will be comfy this winter as opposed to folks burning furniture to try to stay warm. Maybe have an EV roast or two?

cool

How do they plan to control lightning? It’s nitrogen.

https://utah.pbslearningmedia.org/resource/nves.sci.earth.nitrate/lightning-produces-nitrates/

Often, we attribute the greening of plants after a fierce storm to the rain that has fallen. This is not correct, as it takes time for plants to uptake the water. It is the lightning, which provides nitrogen to plants in a form that is immediately useable to the plant.

I have read elsewhere that they claim the real problem is animal manure.

Say What? Animal manure is the best natural fertilizer there is! Plow it into the fields and watch the plants grow!

It appears that what they are trying to do is eliminate animal manure and force farmers to use only chemical fertilizers.

It is also happening here. A working companion has 40 acres. The Agri agents have surveyed his place and says he CANNOT use chicken manure on half his farm as it runs into a certain watershed. He can use chicken manure on the other half as it runs into a different watershed. Chicken manure is some of the best natural fertilizer known.

Like I said. Guess who WON’T be hungry or cold this winter. Most of the “wef” assclowns and their jets will have fuel. Even “they” a pecking order so some of those that think they’re gonna be okay better watch their 6.

70% & plus another 50% == 105% mathematically.

70 + 1/2 of 70 (35) = 105.

OR-—if very poorly written:

70% plus 50% = 120 % ??????

HOW does that work???

The Agri agents have surveyed his place and says he CANNOT use chicken manure on half his farm as it runs into a certain watershed.

Don't know what kind of farm it is but he could probably use it if he made compost from it. He would have to monitor the compost pile's temperature and keep it above 140 degrees for a certain number of days. The number if days is less if the pile is turned regularly. Compost is good for veggie beds but I don't think it does all that much for pasture.

Pretty much guaranteed most of them won’t be hungry or cold this winter. Us? Questionable. Generally speaking.

It appears that what they are trying to do is eliminate animal manure and force farmers to use only chemical fertilizers.

What they really want is their new food systems. Its a transfer of wealth and power. The new food is Lab Cultured Meat and indoor vertically grown veggies in high tech buildings with grow lights and robotics. They're developing gene-edited plants that do well in those settings.

All this new food will have one thing in common. Patented. Patented GMO corn/soy now makes up 90% of what's grown and Monsanto/Bayer own the patent to the seed. That means farmers can't save seed for next year. They have to buy it every year and it's three times thee price of non GMO.

They're in a real hurry now because the GMO corn/soy is starting to fail. Every year there are more roundup resistant weeds. Some farmers are getting away from the roundup ready because not only is the seed expensive, they're back to having to use mechanical cultivation to deal with weeds again just like they did in the pre-GMO days.

As of Spring 2018

Guess who's going to own the patents for this new food? The Tech types, Big Pharma and other multinational corporations, most of whom are on board with the Great Reset.

The green new deal is also a transfer of wealth and power. People like Gates and Gore are alt-e investors and have made billions. Even if the projects fail, they make money because of the projects being subsidized. Basically you have leftists in fedgov writing bills that transfer billions to their leftist buddies outside of fedgov who profit off these green subsidies.

We all know that green energy ain't gonna cut it. Glyphosate is failing. Everything the leftists are doing will fail but they'll get rich off of it. At least the oil tycoons were producing something useful while they got rich. This transfer of wealth from them to the alt-e people and from traditional farmers to the new high tech food will produce nothing but a primitive life of misery, malnutrition & starvation.
