If the ''Get Trump Squad'' wants to see former President Donald Trump indicted, it ''darn well better meet the Nixon standard,'' retired Harvard Law School professor Alan Dershowitz told Newsmax on Tuesday.
When ''Rob Schmitt Tonight'' host Rob Schmitt asked Dershowitz why the public hasn't heard anything of substance over the last two weeks since the FBI searched Trump's Mar-a-Lago home, Dershowitz declared that the ''Get Trump Squad'' will do anything to do so, without any regard for the Constitution.
He added, however, that any potential indictment must meet the ''Nixon standard,'' referring to former President Richard Nixon, who resigned in 1974 after his involvement in the cover-up of the 1972 Watergate break-in of the Democratic National Committee headquarters amid a potential impeachment and erosion of support in his own party.

“The Nixon Standard” must mean Republican “plumbers” breaking into DNC headquarters. Just like the Democrats broke into Trump’s house. So they should go after the Dems who orchestrated the break-in of Trump’s house the same way they went after the “plumbers.”

I think he means irrefutable proof. Dershowitz is a liberal, but he’s an honest liberal and a fine lawyer.

Yes, that’s what he means. But the parallels between the Nixon “plumbers” and the FBI are very apt. In both cases, the opposing party sent its henchmen into it’s opponents offices to steal campaign plans.
The big difference today, of course, is Biden did it under [false] color of law using a thoroughly corrupt and weaponized FBI and DOJ. And sleaze bag Biden pretends he wasn’t consulted and didn’t know!

Honest journalists covering this would never get a Pulitzer because they would expose the corruption on the part of the government.

The people without any regard for the Constitution are the same ones Dershowitz votes for every election. He has some kind of cognitive dissonance problem.
He always argues a case from the defense angle. He was a defense attorney. So when he talks about Trump it’s from the defense teams standpoint.

That is just conjecture.
Many like me believe it was a setup by the Democrats. As Marxist as McGovern and his henchmen were, the administration was likely suckered into looking for ties to International Communism.
And if it doesn't, the Dersh will still be out there, concern-trolling, until he's raided, then busted for the Lolita Express and tax evasion.
So far the score card appears like there’s more evidence on the FIb’s than on Trump.
