On Thursday’s broadcast of NBC’s “MTP Now,” Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI) defended President Joe Biden’s student loan program and said she’s “really tired of these armchair economists who love to take the shots and get attention, but aren’t really working hard to try to solve some of our nation’s problems.”
Host Kristen Welker asked, “I would be remiss if I didn’t ask you about the other big news today, which is the President’s announcement on student loans. He’s extending the pause. He’s giving relief of $10,000 to those who make less than $125,000. Some economists, though, are warning that it could add to inflation, including Jason Furman, who tweeted, ‘Pouring roughly half [a] trillion dollars of gasoline on the inflationary fire that is already burning is reckless. Doing it while going well beyond one campaign promise…and breaking another’ what is your reaction to what you are hearing from some economists who worked in the Obama administration who are concerned about inflation? Is this the wrong time to extend the student loan pause?”

“Armchair Economists” = The ones who actually get right answers. (In both senses of “right”.)
Dingleberry.
Well, I’m tired of comunists pretending it’s anything but the road to Weimar. I guess everybody is tired of something this year.
“Pouring roughly half [a] trillion dollars of gasoline on the inflationary fire that is already burning is reckless“
True statement and the Dens act like this is a good thing. TINSTAAFL. They’re about to find out what that means in spades.
Typical anti-intellectual response of a tyrant.
She’s the one with the crooked dead husband
Armchair Economists??? That’s like complaining about athletic football players.
Never mind that many kids with a sixth grade education could
do a better job than Biden’s team.
Trouble reaction though. Panic in fight or flight from this.
Let’s talk about the Ricardo principle of comparative advantage and how China uses slave labor to undercut competitors’ pricing.
That isn’t a loan program. That is a program to let certain people get out of paying for their loan and making other people pay the bills. That is a loan balance transfer to people who never borrowed any money or signed any dotted line.
No way is this right and I am sick of them being able to keep using covid to bypass the laws
I see no fire out of Republicans. The GOP best get off their lazy cowardly silent arses and stand up or a person like me may not bother voting at all because it makes no difference if I do or don’t.
I’m tired of dumbass Dingleberrys who think they are politicians just because they were married to one. Retard.
The feelings mutual, Dingle, you old sea hag. Can’t wait until November!
Most people including Nancy Pelosi,Speaker of the House maintain it is ILLEGAL for the president to do this,so The States should pursue Bank Fraud, Wire Fraud and Money Laundering charges against any person in their state that is a recipient of these funds that were STOLEN from the Taxpayers.
THEY HAVE NO DEFENSE
It’s not like he is a biologist!

Democrats are catching flack!
