On reddit’s r/4chan board, the moderators or maybe bots, have taken to suspending, or even perma-banning posters, to drive them away. When they unsubscribe to r/4chan even the perma-ban is lifted. Appeals are ignored.
It’s about as subtle as a brick bat.
