Poor Lee Zeldin. If only he would have run for governor in a state that still has free and fair elections. The Republican candidate was leading in several polls on election day in New York State but lost to hapless Kathy Hochul, a complete imbecile.
Now New York State can continue its death spiral of crime, violence, socialism, and oppressive regulations.
Lee Zeldin helped elevate Republican candidates in the state.
Lee Zeldin probably helped save the House by bringing four new Republican congressmen-elect across the finish line.
We owe him a lot.

Would Lee Zeldin actually attempt to grow the party and fight for free and fair elections or will he be a Democrat Lite type of chairman.
Well, he could certainly start as NYS GOP Chairman. The Party has withered on the vine since the 1990's. Ed Cox decimated the party. it's all patronage hacks now looking for scraps.
The Romney faction (family) should never have been allowed to get near the Republican Party!
Note that Schumer only got 56% of the vote (instead of 70+% in 2016) against a political neophyte but good guy, Joe Pinion.

Zeldin is not a fire-breathing MAGA type as defined around here but he is a very solid guy in my estimation and he would be a better choice to lead the party.
Few people understand that the RNC is mostly a money machine vs strategy or national platform. It is a donor driven fat cat party and they don’t like MAGA either. Zeldin has more chops than Ronna does.

Whoever becomes RNC Chairman, Presidential Nominee or leaders in Congress need to understand, the two sides of the Republican Party have to come together or the party will be done as National Party for the foreseeable future.
If one side decides to go nuclear with the other side of the Republican Party will get destroyed in 2024 regardless of any issue that might be around in 2024
