They thought they could remove the Kiev regime with a lightning strike.

They were wrong. Now they are paying the price.

I’ve owned 5 antique Mosins at one time or another. Wish I hadn’t sold them. (all were M-39 Finnish reworks.)

Totally meaningless to me. The Russians pose one threat to me, their ability to deliver nukes to the US mainland. There’s not one damn thing anyone can do to reduce that threat. Their petty border disputes that have zero effect on me or my grandchildren, I don’t care who wins.

Lies, lying, and liars are synonymous with Russia culture.

The same could be said for Ukrainian and US military culture. This was a meaningless war pushed upon Russia and has nothing to do with the US. WE peed away billions in this stinker and if it keeps on it may end up with us in a nuclear holocaust. IF anybody had any sense there would be peace talks and end this insanity. But I don't see it in sight.

Russia sent 150,000 soldiers; 80,000 combat soldiers, the others in support units. Ukraine had 600,000 men well trained and well led entrenched in positions that formed lines in succession of defense, all interlocking fields of fire.

Russian combat troops hit that meat grinder; pulled back and the artillery was utilized to slowly-slowly destroy the Ukrainian defensive positions.

The Russian Special Operation in Ukraine is ending. Russia has amassed 450,000 combat troops which include the missing missile forces, heavy artillery and air force.

There are no more Ukrainian defensive positions to breach. There are no more the 600,000 Uke soldiers because they have either been smashed in slow grinding artillery or wasted by the type of mindset to counter attack that Hitler had. The Uke’s are a spent force.

The Russia Army is ready to utilize actual combat formations under one command and they are going to take Odessa; all that crap about taking back Crimea is just bluster.

All the while the Ukes know that their families are freezing to death in cities that no longer have the capacity to provide everyone with electricity, heat, water, etc.

It is going to be long cold winter and by the time the ground thaws the Russians will have dictated a peace with NATO in the absence of sane Ukrainian leadership.

The nukes are pretty old and in about the same repair as the rest of the equipment of the Russian military. I wouldn’t panic if I were you.

The Russian Army was never that great. Even in World War II, they went on a rampage, but they weren’t efficient at all. The war value of a Russia soldier was far lower than, say German soldiers. (By effectiveness)

war pushed upon Russia

WRONG

Russia invaded a sovereign country all on their own

nobody "forced" or "pushed" them ... they also could have chosen to stay within their own borders, like every other country in Europe ... instead, they freely chose to invade

stop making excuses for these warmongers

The Russian military, the second largest military in the world and the first lie the article didn’t take long to rear its head.

Russia is the 3rd largest military, behind the US and China. Unless India has stepped in to 3rd by now.

The Soviet Army was the 2nd largest, but that was back in 1991 or so.

Russia has amassed 450,000 combat troops

No. The RGF had only 250,000-260,000 professional troops in February 2022, while the Naval Infantry added another 20,000. All the rest are conscripts or National Guard, and not combat troops.

Would help if these propaganda clowns relied on more recent figures instead of old Soviet ones.

WW2 in Europe was for all practical purposes fought in Poland, Ukraine and Russia.

The Soviet Union is estimated to have suffered the highest number of WWII casualties. As many as 27 million Soviets lost their lives, with as many as 11.4 million military deaths joined by up to 10 million civilian deaths due to military activity and an additional 8 million to 9 million deaths due to famine and disease. Those totals do not include the more than 14 million Soviet soldiers who were wounded during the war.

Among the Soviet Union's 15 republics, Russia withstood the highest number of casualties, with 6,750,000 military deaths and 7,200,000 civilian deaths. Ukraine tallied the second-highest casualties, with 1,650,000 military deaths and 5,200,000 civilian deaths.

In comparison the US and UK lost about 400,000 each and that includes loses in the far east (Japan).

The eastern front was brutal. And the Russians will never forget it.

what you refer to is when Russia funded and equipped violent separatist groups inside Ukraine to stir up trouble

again, Russia was the instigator
