Scientists have researched fusion since the 1950s.
The Energy Department is expected to announce Tuesday that scientists have reached a breakthrough in nuclear fusion in their quest to produce a technology to provide clean, unlimited and affordable power.
Scientists have researched fusion since the 1950s, and the Biden administration is likely to affirm the massive, decades-long investment, according to the Washington Post reported.
"To most of us, this was only a matter of time," a senior fusion scientist told the newspaper.
Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm is expected to make the announcement Tuesday at a media event her department is promoting as the unveiling of a "major scientific breakthrough."
The department and the lab declined to comment to the Post, but an official said researchers are still finalizing their analysis and will not publish official findings before Tuesday.

It’s super fantastic... But they can wait until Tuesday to announce it?
More nonsense.

Everyone in the government lies. And the Biden administration lies even when they don’t have to.
So I’m guessing that there is no real fusion energy breakthrough.

They’ll tell us anything to get us to go along with their evil machinations. (And some will believe them).

They may be able to do it in a lab. But they will have to build a reactor. And it will have to be big enough to power a major city.

Net energy gain indicates technology could provide an abundant zero-carbon alternative to fossil fuels There's nothing wrong with "Fossil fuels" They're completely natural, from compost. They're...like..."Organic"....Man.

Baloney. They did a lab experiment. Building and commercializing controlled fusion energy is impossible now. We don't even know what designs, alloys, and materials we could use to commercialize this. Maybe 50 years from now, at the earliest, if humans are still around.
