Grandchildren do rule sometimes. We had only boys, and then the first two grandchildren were boys. When the grand-daughters came along, their grandfather was suddenly in love! They can do no wrong.
I’ve repeatedly warned him—He will pay for it later. And, he often does. They want piggy-back rides through the house, they get it. Then, he can barely move for two days. They want to stay up late? He let’s them. Then they are cranky the next day. I have to be the mean grandma and eventually tell them “off to bed you go—it’s late enough”.
