These videos were recorded on the evening of January 7, 2023, in Memphis, Tennessee. Video 1 is a police-issued body-worn camera near the intersection of Raines and Ross Rd. Videos 2, 3, and 4 are video footage at the second location, a residential neighborhood. Video 2 is from a pole camera and contains no audio. Videos 3 and 4 are police-issued body-worn camera videos. The dirty secret is that most cops drill you to ‘figure out what is going on’ before they arrest and read rights. That’s mostly an after thought unless you’re taken to an interrogation.
I’ve legit seen people stand up and not even give their names and IDs to cops and be ok.
The other secret is not saying anything will not hurt you in any way. But talking will. You can’t talk your way out of an arrests 99.9% of the time. I figure at least make them work on it some, don’t make it too easy to roll you over.
We seem to have a number of people here who hate cops and think they’re all bad...it’s always puzzled me.
I grew up in Philadelphia. South Philly, Society Hill, Chestnut Hill, Northeast Philly, Roxborough, and Germantown, were the good swaths. West Philly, Chester, Kensington, and north of Spring Garden all the way to Cheltenham Ave were the bad swaths. My wife went to LaSalle College at 3100 of North Broad st. Horrible swath. We both grew up in Chestnut Hill. As a young kid I don’t think I ever ventured out of my neighborhood into another. That’s not possible in Memphis.
Well that was sure anti climactic. That build up to this tape was that it was the most brutal thing anyone could ever see.
I saw one doped up scrote, resisting the entire time. Then was able to escape and get away. They locate him again. There were one or two punches that were to the face, and the kick is a no-no. But they tried pepper spray, taser, etc. He resisted going into cuffs the entire time.
Then when they got him subdued, paramedics came up.
It was some excessive force a few times, but this wasn’t the gigantic terror they made it out to be.
Any calls into dispatch???
The ones that like cops are either cops, related to one, or are delusional to think they won’t be thrown under the bus by the system. IE the protected or the ignorant.

Chris Rocks special on “How to not get your a$$ beat by cops” should be mandatory in public schools.

Makes one wonder what/why your own experience with cops has made you that way.
As I stated earlier I have friends in law enforcement and I can assure you they are as disgusted as anybody else. They know younger cops are a different breed and not in a good way

I’m no cop but seems to me two, or certainly four, trained police officers, ought to be able to restrain and handcuff a lanky adult male without resorting to beating.
I had a friend and one of her sons is always in trouble with drugs or heroin. He spent a lot of time in and out of jail then released. He has three kids now in the foster system, and is always fighting with Mexicans (drug deals) she said started it. Constant domestic quarrels. No job, (Mid 30s) sleeps over at his aunt’s house, and managed to knock up another woman. She thinks the police are to blame for his troubles. An enabler, and not much better. Couldn’t take the late night phone calls and drama, anymore.
exactly right....the media and some people want you to believe over a dozen cops went berserk for no reason,,,and they just happened to pick this poor soul cuz they were feeling “berzerko”...and just wanted to KILL ..KILL...KILL!!...absurd. Hope people understand that to just keep kissing their asses its not gonna make things “better”...
