A woke - ultra liberal town in my county replaced all of their Police Cars [Ford Explorers] with electric cars.
Big problem - the Town’s maintenance crew does not know how to repair electric cars - so the woke now are facing outside maintenance costs not in the budget!
Greens–including those within his own administration–want to get rid of cars, period.
There you have it proof they are year one thinkers they will go after fire next.
Get rid of all cars? Fine, then we can go drone.
Two of my three children who are now grown successful adults made job, housing, and transportation decisions based on abandoning the need to own an automobile. Good mass transit, light rail, busses, and well planned city transportation infrastructures make that possible. They prefer it. You must live inner city.

This has to come about via federal law, it cannot be done via mandates and regulations from some three letter agency.

Excess covid vaccine related deaths could be the trigger, gun confiscation could be the trigger, nuclear war, election fraud - who knows. But the left is waging a multifront war and a counter revolution of some sort could be sparked any day.

I've pointed that out in the past. Because of the staggering cost, waste, and resources required, the idea of replacing every privately owned vehicle with an electric one is a pipe dream.
They say they want you out of your ICV and into an EV. But no one will willingly switch unless they believe it really is a better alternative (not proven); can afford it; and can afford another (or a battery) if they need it replaced. That is a very thin slice of humanity.
But really, they just want you out of your ICV. After that, you'll either walk, pedal, or take your chances with Torchy the Lithium Torch Bus.
