OK. Which tribe do they give it to? The last tribe that occupied the land, or the previous tribe that previously inhabited before they were conquered by the other tribe

The first tribe across the bearing Straits would be the tribe at the Tierra del Fuego. They were here first, till they were pushed out by a stronger tribe who was then pushed out by an even stronger tribe who were again pushed by a stronger and meaner tribe who were then.... Oh well, you get the point.

If you can’t hold the land you will lose it to someone stronger than you. That is why we have an army and navy.

I suggest that Ben and Jerry give back all their profits, every single dime.

Ice cream isn’t a necessity.

They’ve made profits off people that certainly couldn’t afford fancy ice cream but were enticed, nah, tricked into buying their over priced, fat and diabetes inducing drug.

Just as surely as Ben and Jerry think land was traded for a blanket and some glass beads— Ben and Jerry profited off the backs of those who couldn’t afford what the B&J’s were pushing.

This would be equality under their moral code.

Old hippie dippy snake oil salesmen!

They should consider reparations for all the people they killed with their fat and sugar loaded frozen slime.

Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield. You can be sure they have their money safely tucked away overseas.

Take a look at the globe. This is the story of Everywhere. There is no fixing it.

Agreed. The Anglos and Saxons themselves were displaced from their home land in modern day Germany. But I don't hear anybody crying about that trail of tears.

Start with their houses, their company..

Lead by example.

This is cynically craven marketing.

Before we arrived at THE NEW WORLD indian tribes were constantly at war with other tribes, ambushing, kidnapping and enslaving the vanquished.

When we arrived people built their shelters, cleared land for farming, peacefully. Might have been exceptions but the indian tribes went to war with the settlers.

Turns out we won, they lost but never changed their attacks on our population. So to the victor goes the spoils.

Reservations were set up, Trail of Tears and all that but since the attacks would not stop they needed to be limited to particular areas.

Not all the best lands but the Agua Caliente tribe in the Palm Springs, CA area are doing well. Almost every reservation has at least one casino and the Feds do a pretty generous job with fed benefits for housing, schooling and medical services.

We might have co-existed but the indians chose poorly. IMHO.

Who says it was stolen? Did the “indigenous “ have proof of ownership? Maybe the land belonged to a prior tribe. Who knows who owned what.

I certainly don't.

And I have ancestors butchered by "indigenous people."

Ben & Jerrys can go micturate up a vertical hemp rope.

Not accurate. Some land acquisition was done b/c the Indians sold it to Colonists.
